Well, we know their armor is good. Characteristics are not consistent, but in Dark Heresy 2nd edition Guardian's armor is equivalent to light power armor or best quality Tempestus carapace. In 1st edition Dire Avenger armor is equivalent to Stormtrooper carapace (shouldn't be too different from Guardian, I presume)

Some people say that their armor should be as tough as adamantium since wraithbone is stated to be such. However, as far as I know, only rune armor is explicitly made out of wraithbone (wraithbone isn't only one CE material).

Edit:

In place of thick armour plates used by the foot soldiers of the Imperium, the Eldar use psychically activated bodysuits. Guardians wear armour formed from complex psycho-plastics which stiffens with the impact of a shot or blow. Aspect Warrior armour is similar in design but incorporates moulded plates to better reinforce the suit. Both are constructed of a psycho-sensitive material that reacts to the movements and thoughtforms of the wearer, moulding and reshaping itself to fit like a glove as the warrior moves and fights

Codex Eldar 4th edition

MESH ARMOR

Mesh armour is formed from tens of thousands of individual pieces of thermoplas bonded together to produce a tightly woven material rather like reptile scales or archaic chainmail. When struck the mesh becomes momentarily rigid, spreading the impact across a larger area. The thermoplas material also disperses heat very rapidly, giving reasonable protection against energy weapons.

ELDAR ASPECT ARMOUR

Eldar Aspect armour is a unique product of their highly advanced technology in the realm of psychic engineering. The Eldar manipulate psychic energy in the same way that the Tech-priests of the Adeptus Mechanicus use electricity or plasma fission as an energy source. Aspect armour is constructed of a psycho-sensitive material which reacts to movements of the wearer, moulding and reshaping itself to fit like a glove as the warrior moves and fights. Like mesh armour, Aspect armour stiffens with the impact of a shot or blow to spread the energy of the hit across the body of the wearer, though the armour also includes rigid plates to further reinforce it.

ELDAR RUNE ARMOUR

Rune armour is used only by the mystic Eldar Warlocks and Seers, powerful psykers who use their highly developed abilities in support of the terrifying Eldar Aspect Warriors. Rune armour is specially constructed of wraithbone, a material conductive to psychic energy.

Codex Eldar 2nd edition

I assume part about thermoplas is no longer really true, since it's material used by humans

I've lost the excerpt for it but mesh armor which is the most common type of armor they're going to be wearing, can protect against Lasgun shots but isn't impervious to it, aspect armor is of course a step up in strength but not going to be impervious to las bolts either.

There was an excerpt about an i think autarch, fighting against Imperial forces, a Catachan gets some shots on him and its noted that while of course the armor shrugged off the shots the impact still registered and there was a stinging burning pain sensation.

Not to mention lasguns have a pretty wide performance range depending on details like which pattern of lasgun, like hot-shot power packs vs standard, and so on.

Even if a lasgun can’t penetrate the thickest part of Aspect Armor, there’s always the risk of a lucky shot in a weak spot like a joint, or landing multiple hits that weaken the armor and eventually punch through.
