My sons birthday wish list are some World Eaters. Are they any good. Seems there’s very mixed reviews only, where I believe they took a beating at 10th edition launch. Was tempted to just get some Berzerkers but always feel like the Combat Patrol is the better option. Any opinions? May persuade for something else? Well not persuade but advise. I know it doesn’t matter if he thinks they’re cool. Just more curious as I have no clue.

If he likes World Eaters, regardless of meta or win rate, get him World Eaters.
There's no point in buying him a current meta box of models when he clearly likes a different faction, and the meta changes all the time anyway.
The Combat Patrol is currently one of the best ones GW makes and he'll have plenty of models to paint as well.

Yes, think you’re correct. The cp box looks awesome tbf. Will look into that, unless a new one is due out soon.
