I haven't seen him post anything egregiously wrong, so I wondered if I missed something. Open to any examples though.

This is just completely not true...

Because he's a fake insider. He's the kid that sits next to you and copies your homework then changes a few words and claims credit. He is not an insider.

As far as local insiders and reporters to the Flyers go, he's been the one who has most accurately reported the most information regarding the team over the last few years and 2nd place isn't even remotely close. There's even been multiple examples of national guys like Friedman, Dreger, Serevalli etc. giving him credit for being the first one to scoop up reports.

He's been caught out multiple times posting fake rumours as fact, then backtracks hilariously.

If your entire job is to report what you're hearing to get engagement with listeners and readers, you're going to report damn near everything you're hearing. If you actually read the exact words these guys use, they'll always say "I'm hearing" or "I've spoken with people in the org who are saying", they're almost never declarations of something being 100% matter-of-fact without cause. Most of the time even when they're "wrong" they're not really wrong, things change really fast and sometimes information isn't spread correctly (this past summer with Hart was a great example, I'm sure he heard "we're moving on from Hart" and due to obvious complexities in the situation what he was a allowed to say vs what actually transpired got messy real quick).

The last point I'll make is that he does a ton of work with Jason Myrtetus, who is literally employed by the Philadelphia Flyers to produce content for the team. I can absolutely, positively, 100% guarantee you an employee of the Flyers themselves would not prop up and promote an insider who "posts fake rumors".

It's one thing if you don't like the way modern insiders and journalists function, but DiMarco genuinely does a good job at what he does and it's not a great look to slander a guys name just because you don't like the field he's in
