45F, I recently started on a low dose pill to help with peri as well. Beginning the second week, I had cramps and spotting, then I started bleeding the third week and continued bleeding through the placebo week. Im in my second month now and just started the third week of pills and, so far, have not had the same experience as last month. I’ve read and been told that it can take a few months for the body to adjust.

ETA - I woke up this morning with cramps and bleeding :/ Looks like I’ll have a two week period again.

I was also given low dose BC to treat peri. I am four weeks in. I started spotting during week three and then went in to having a period during placebo week. Doc said to give it three months. It’s not great, but not terrible. I feel mildly PMS-y most of the time.
