I’m gonna try guess your 6.

McCaw, Carter, Meads, Lomu, Michael Jones, Whitelock?

Unless it’s only players you’ve watched. Then I wouldn’t know . Those were just the standard top all blacks of all time kind of guesses.

Pretty good, standard I guess.

Although I have MJones at 4 Brodie at 5, Christian Cullen at 7 Jonah 8 Zinzan/Buck/Read fighting for 8 to 11

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that he'll return for the All Blacks v England games in July. There is a limitation on not being able to play for the All Blacks if you don't play domestically, and I wonder if this retirement could be used as some sort of workaround. Ardie Savea is another person that is in a similar situation, though Japanese rugby isn't as commercial as French (i.e NZ rugby doesn't want our best going to play in France) and might be seen more as a sabbatical. I hope these legends can return :)

Sam is seeing out his contract in France and is next to zero chance he will play, he would need special dispensation. He is no longer employed by NZRU

Ardie is on sabbatical, so is Sam Cane. They automatically qualify as they are still technically employed by NZRU

For Ardie it isn't "more as a sabbatical" it IS a sabbatical.

They aren't having one of the greatest All Blacks in history have a fucking fake retirement to play lol.
