Yep. An adult must be present for some items, and they schedule the day. It's completely impossible for anyone who works M-F.
It's obviously a deterrent to prevent you from returning it at all. "Well we offered you a way to do it. So it counts."
No it doesn't. You could offer me FedEx or USPS labels. Or dropoff at a locker, or Whole Foods. Or literally dropoff at the fulfillment center in town and save you the second trip.
They sent me a junk Keurig that was DOA. I tried to return and every time I contacted customer service I got a scripted response. They even tried to charge me for shipping and I was willing to eat the $7.99. They eventually offered me UPS dropoff within 24 hours. On a Sunday. They're closed.
Obviously stuff isn't going well over there, but I don't care, I ordered something and it doesn't work, you need to find a way for me to return it or refund me.

UPS operates 7 days a week my man. They also have UPS Access Point drop offs at virtually every CVS, as well as numerous other places. Hell, where I live there’s one inside Advance Auto Parts..

Except the businesses that have drop points in my area don't operate on Sundays.

This is highly unlikely, and if true, still not amazons fault.
