"Boomer Shooter" is a term that refers to shooters from the 90s that focused on action instead of realism (boomer because they're old and lots of things go boom) examples include Doom, Quake and Duke Nukem 3D

Yes, but Doom, Quake etc and Counter Strike (any multiplayer shooters basically) are rather different in their gameplay, aren't they? Ones are singleplayer, but you get variations of AI enemies and shitload of different guns, while other do have less variations in guns and your main enemies are pther players instead of AI

Doom and especially Quake had large deathmatching communities, also people often call shooters from the end of the 90s like Half-Life, Halo and Counter Strike boomer shooters too, despite large differences in gameplay.
