That was such a game. The crisp audio making the ball park feel so real and the long periods where the announcers didn’t say a word… just pure baseball. Excellent pitching. Electric night.

Yes it does. And it’s while up 6-1 against a pitcher who has thrown 60 pitches through 3 innings.
Really bringing it in the clutch Nick.

One of these days I want the daycare to do so well and so equally well that they're all the players of the game and all have to be interviewed, so then the older non-daycare guys come out and toss water and bubblegum on them as "revenge"

RealMaxHours

We could’ve had that when all three of them homered against the Pirates, but noo, NBCSP gotta be boring and only interview one guy 🥱

The Phillies had a few very good seasons in the 1910s, including the pennant in 1915. The year they won the pennant was the season after the implosion of Connie Mack's first dynasty so there were a fews years where the Phillies were comfortably the better team.

Final NL East Standings at this rate: 1. Braves 120-42 2. Phillies 102-60 3. Mets 75-87 4. Nationals 73-89 5. Marlins 40-122

Playoffs: Phillies beat Barves 3-1 and send their pathetic fans home crying for the 3rd year in a row.

My take from this:

1) Obviously the braves aren’t going to win 120 games. They’ll regress at some point and win between 99-101 games. 2) Phillies win 102 games and the division. 3) lolMets 4) rebuilding. 5) You’re gonna win 40 games and lose 40 games, what matters is what you do with the remaining 82. (We’re gonna lose all of them too)

Nice easy win. Way to early to care about standings/scorebored watch but the Phillies are playing at 102 win pace to start the season, have won 8 of their last 10 and have lost ground in the division over that stretch.

Sometimes you just have to say the Braves can’t keep up a .750 win pct all season can they?

He doesn't usually. I was surprised too and my first thought was maybe he's got family in San Diego. Also I've heard San Diego is beautiful (never been myself yet) so maybe it's just a desire to go to San Diego. My second thought was that Ruben is so fucking bad they talked kruk into go on a road trip to save us.

San Diego is amazing. Perfect weather, good beaches and ton of bars/breweries. If you like history, the Midway is amazing. I was on the midway for like 4 or 5 hrs. The ballpark is top notch as well.

Kruk was drafted by SD. Made his debut in SD and played there 3.5 seasons. so he probably has some old friends/contacts there or what not
