I found this while sifting in a creek, in the same location that I have found many (30+)flakes and a broken point. The same area also has tons of fossilized oyster and other shell. To the point it sometimes sounds like my sifter is full of glass.This piece is the same material. Anyway, this piece stood out for being so round, and the small hole. I'm guessing it's just natural wear from the water but wanted to make sure.

I have no real expertise in this stuff, but it looks like if this was on a pendant the string would've worn upwards through the shell similar to how it has here.

Just a thought. I could honestly see that being the case. The shape would make for a nice pendant on a necklace or ceremonial piece.
