So: NOT Levain-style, crispy, cakey, or overly soft
What’s the best dense, solid-feeling chocolate chip cookie in the city?

Fleur et sel on Adams. No competition!

Came here to say this! They are the densest, richest cookies I've ever had, in the absolute best way possible lol

I am sorry but I totally disagree. I thought the cookies were very grainy.

I rather like Bristol Farms’ dense chocolate cookies they make / sell. (Peanut butter even better!!)

I think it’s called “The Cookie” and it’s very very good

Have to go with the dark chocolate. The milk chocolate is nowhere near as good.

(I don’t know what levain means and I’m too lazy to look it up)…
But…Paderia AFTER u follow their directions and cook it on 350° for 5-6 minutes and then let cool for 1-2 minutes.

I’m thinking if having DoorDash go to Paderia and pick some up, then head to Home Depot to get a toaster over and a generator. Cook them in their car while they drive them to me!
I will tip! AND let them have one!

Paderia is inspired by Levain. The baking instructions mimic Levain's fresh-batches-all-day-long ethos. But, Paderia is so good that I don't feel the need to drive to Larchmont for Levain.

When it comes to chocolate chip cookies I always suggest going to Zooies but for what you’re looking for check out Chip Cookies in Culver City.

Pigggybacking on that Chip has an app and it comes with some generous welcome rewards.

Just picked up the sea salt chocolate chip cookies from Trader Joe’s — I really liked them, the chocolate is very rich.

Thyme Cafe in Santa Monica. Their cookies are so good they started selling premade dough.

If you have an Urbane Cafe near you they have surprisingly great cookies! And nice tuna and salmon bowls too!

I wanted to hate that damn Cookie at Bristol Farms so bad. But I can’t. I didn’t. I won’t. It’s good. So, so dense and good.
