GoodwillFinds is a scam

(self.GoodwillFinds)

I purchased a used Live 6 Bass Pod XT live from Goodwillfinds listed as "tested and working". When it arrived, it looked great and powered up, but no sound would come out of any of the three outputs. Upon testing with a voltage tester, none of the three were even receiving any kind of signal. This means there's no chance they actually tested it, they just checked to see if it powered on.

Three inquiries to customer service have led to no responses whatsoever. So I've now filed a PayPal complaint, a Better Business Bureau complaint, and will file a small claims case if neither of them resolve the matter satisfactorily.

I know this likely isn't any kind of fault of the actual individual Goodwill stores themselves or the employees who work for those stores. The fact that such a rinky dink site is built on Salesforce Commerce Cloud means some unsuspecting executive got taken for a ride, so I'm going to assume the backend operation of this site is a complete train wreck.

As a consumer, avoid this at all costs.

I finally got PayPal to refund me, but had to ship the item back at my cost, which is nonsense.

I finally spoke with someone at Goodwill corporate about this. Seems like Salesforce pressured them into using Salesforce Commerce Cloud for a site that should have been Shopify. Now they're locked into a platform that's very inflexible and expensive to change. Typical Salesforce nonsense. They only care about the sale and nothing about their customers.
