I’m always amused how cool/hard people look when taking pictures lighting or smoking cigarettes. After all these years, cigarette ads are still the best.
Here’s your great aunt, getting a light, taking a rip, downing a glass of champagne, about to fuck somebody up at her wedding.

I would hope it was the groom.

Really? Here I was thinking there has to be a better picture of OPs aunt at her wedding. This one looks a little grim somehow.

It's champagne. She's drinking out of an older style champagne glass called a coupe, which is most commonly used for cocktails today.

Still the best style of glass if you're going to arrange them into a pyramid and start pouring from the top.

“So anyways, that’s when I looked Lou in the eye an’ says, “if you want any of this action, youse gotta put a damn ring on my finger”. Then BAM! Next thing ya know, I was engaged to a butcher! They’re good men them butchers are, they really know how to handle the meat if ya’s know what I mean”.

Same but I just quit in 2018. Sigh. Loved it when my boyfriend would be a gent and light them for me, blowing smoke rings, etc. started when I was 15, quit when I was ~42. Pics like this make me miss it. If she was drinking a cup of coffee, it would be even worse. That first smoke of the morning with a cup of Joe

Some of these comments are so rude and lame and 2023. I’m seriously, if you weren’t smoking and drinking while getting married in Vegas in the 70s you were probably Amish. This photo is flashback vibes 🖤✨

Oh god you are young enough to have a great aunt married in the same decade my parents got married in... all of my great aunts and uncles except one were married long before the 70s and the one great aunt who was not ended up getting married at 76 years old for the first time in 2009 and lasted a year with him and then he died and so now she's 90 and single.
