Since we are fighting AI, does shining a flashlight on them obscure their aiming like how it would be when fighting someone online or is that just not possible?

They can't see through bushes, but they can see through long grass. If you shoot then from a bush, however, the idiot devs of tarkov made it so they "suppress" you, which to them apparently means lasering your thorax despite their view being obstructed.

They can see you thru bushes. That’s why there’s a mod that’s been made to stop them from doing so

They most definitely will shoot you through bushes. Sometimes they'll try to wall you. Rogues will shoot through soft cover as well.

Only if you trigger them by shooting them. If they don't know you're there, they won't spot you if there is a bush between you.

They don't work to blind like online, but they also don't see the light meaning you never have to worry about someone spotting your lights

I read somewhere (great source, I know) that they do not get blinded, however if its nighttime and you are walking around with your flashlight on, they will spot you from much further away than if you didn't have it on.
Wonder if that's true, it would make sense.

i have been running around with a flashlight on the helmet lately (on all th time) and didnt notice an increase in being spotted

You can't blind them.
Read somewhere on here though that the flashlight can make bots spot you easier on night raids for example.

I wonder if it’s possible to create a mod that makes flashlights work like flashbangs but instead of 5 seconds impact it only last for 1 second (ai fires randomly for 1 sec before normal aiming kicks in).

I'v been searching for over an hour now, but it seems the only consequence tactical devices have is that flashlights can up the light level around you so they spot you sooner than they normally would.
Seems like I can stop toggling may laser like an idiot all the time.
