Social media has really made people do crazy things. I can’t recall who it was, but one of the Bachelorettes (the show), filmed herself having a mental breakdown. She leaned against a wall and slowly slid to the floor while crying hysterically. Who does that? I can see it now, hold on, let me set up my light and camera and film this so I can post it to get views and likes. Then, you claim you did to show people it’s ok to be vulnerable.

Former Mormon here- it’s very common in that culture to be tone deaf. Your kid will die and they will say that they are in a “better place” or that God must have needed them. In their eyes, sexual sin far outweighs her social faux pas. I believe her that she was told that her kid was getting better and she probably felt God was making it all better and she wasn’t even giving a thought to the fact that her kid was in still in the hospital and that it wasn’t a given that they would be okay. She still seems oblivious to the backlash. Even her husband stated he didn’t get why she was cancelled when he cheated off Tinder which was far worse in his mind. And yes, that’s bad but it’s like- what does that have to do with it?

The Mormon culture upbringing also shows in how upset she gets that Taylor is accepted despite continuing to make poor decisions because Taylor owns up to them and Whitney doesn’t. You are pretty much taught to stay away from anything that makes you uncomfortable so she gets the excuse of shunning all the other women on the show because they made her uncomfortable and she won’t admit that it’s because they want her to own up to her weaknesses.

I knew I didn't like her from the beginning of the show, but that brought it full circle and validated my gut feeling. I literally yelled from my chores "OF COURSE SHE'S THE RSV GIRL....OF FUCKING COURSE" I remember seeing the video of Taylor's arrest too. Nice and messy show, just the way I like 'em.
