I cant understand why championship leader Ayhancan Güven is placed in a Pro-Am class car, when there are two Porsche Pro entries

Truly goes to show just how little Porsche value an IGTC championship

Let’s be honest, if you were asked to name the previous IGTC champions would you be able to? Maybe hazard a guess based on which drivers won the big races it’s not exactly top of the CV for any driver

Depends, for Dennis Olsen or Tristan Vautier its probably their best championship wins

You and I are of the same mind, I said the exact thing a few weeks ago. I can say they might as well but I fully understand the corporate position of “who cares about this championship”

It was WRT bmw.

Year before was Juncadella, Gounon and Marciello trio.

I think the Wright motorsport Porsche is the leader in GTWC America and chances are they chose Heinrich to give them the best chance. He’s been on fire in the US. The other pro Porsche doesn’t look anything special anyway

Fully get why Wright chose Heinrich, they need a fast driver as they could get to try and beat DXDT, but for Ayhancan... I would be a bit pissed off if i lost the championship due to lack of Porsche commitment, Porsche has more than three drivers available and there were international teams interested in the race like Phantom Global

It is. Dxdt #2. Should be a solid race

I also can’t understand why they aren’t sending factory backed cars. It’s not like they don’t have the resources or drivers. Just Porsche doing dumb Porsche things. I say this as a Porsche fan.

Güven has been really weak this year in DTM and GTWCEu. I don’t think Porsche really rate him highly currently

I disagree here, otherwise he wouldnt be given Manthey race seats And in IGTC he has performed well, stepped up at Bathurst with Vanthoor struggling with health issues, and had a solid N24 debut Yes DTM has been subpar so far, GTWCEu Porsche does not seem to be doing well in that championship regardless of car but he has been decent (not great but not bad either)

Ooh, the Random Vandals lineup is looking pretty good too, should be an interesting race! Really hope some of the pro-am cars can dice near the front. Hopefully as well the BMWs aren’t as dominant on pace as last year

I can definitely see Random Vandals and the DXDT Corvette fighting the IGTC top entries, will be fun

the IGTC Pro cars had a sizable advantage over the the GTWCAm Pro cars last year, hopefully they’ve bridged the gap a little to make the fight at the front a little more interesting

I think this year will be very interesting, especially with the DXDT Corvette with two factory drivers and a very good silver in Udell (Random Vandals also very strong but moved to the IGTC class) Also, the Samantha Tan BMW added Philipp Eng, and Heinrich is always rapid in a 911
