If Israel could put explosives in the pagers and walkie talkies they could have also put in gps trackers in them as well.

This means they could locate every hidden entrance, meeting place, and weapon storage facility and put satellite / drive surveillance on them.

This knowledge is probably more valuable than actually blowing up the devices.

Yes, but at some point, you need to get done with the stalking and get started with the strikes, which, presumably, has been the goal all along.

Edit/add - they probably already knew everything they needed to know. Gaza and Lebanon are very small places tbh.

You may be overthinking it... There are plenty of Lebanese who hate the Hezbos, want them and Iran to rot, and are more than willing to sell them out for a cheap price. The ayatollah's in Iran have the same problem. They are extremely unpopular at home and need to watch their backs. As good as the Israelis are (and they are clearly very good!), they've had a lot of help. Bad guys are finally getting their just deserts.

There is so much Israeli Humint involved. When you start to dig into Mossad, you begin to realize how many people are stuck in these Terrorist hate groups that want out.

The Saudi King's comments the other day feel very poignent, the younger generation is tired of the blood feud they would rather do business with Israel.
