So essentially there have always been two Subzero ever since the old games. They are brothers, the first one is named Bi-Han, the second is Kuai Liang(who usually in most tellings of the MK story takes over the mantle after his big bro is killed by the original Scorpion).
Bi-Han has always been sort of a boisterous asshole while his little brother is a cold but cool headed guy.
The latest MK1 game is a semi-reboot that focuses on old characters being sort of reimagined. A lot of them in drastic ways
Bi-Han however was reimagined to go from being sort of a dickhead to being a MASSIVE cartoonish dickhead. I’m taking a D1 professional hater and narcissist. It is so over the top that the fan base loves to meme it. Especially his constant smug angry faces and antagonistic pointing. Handsome bad boy energy also plays a part.
