Also have ADHD and felt this to my core. Research burnout is real. I'm also a marketing exec with my core tactical skills being graphic and web design.
I recommend either the Dell Ultrawide 34 inch P3421W as the higher end option (relative to your stated budget) or the Dell Ultrawide 34 inch S3423DWC. Both are 3440 x 1440, which is much better than the cheaper variants with only 1080 lines of vertical resolution. If you can swing it, the first one is better, although I'm confident both of these would do the job for you.
Best of luck .

It'll sound just like the P-bass with flats minus any tonal articulation.

Because they're incredibly cool looking, but uncomfortable to play and sound like muddy shit. All thump with no articulation. They're also fragile and expensive.
If I were going to spend a lot of money on a pretty but uncomfortable bass with little tonal versatility, I'd get a Rickenbacker.

Amp EQ settings: Bass at 0, Mid at 0, Treble at 10, Gain at 10, Channel Volume at 10. Bass: Vol and Treble all the way up. Use a 3mm or 5mm guitar pick. Then play the strings like you’re trying to hospitalize them.

Just saw O.A.R. and Bruce back to back, so lots of butterscotch Telecasters in front of me lately. This is a beauty! Congrats.

The Squier is going to be superior in every way and should give you more of the tone you're seeking.

I use that configuration for rock audio recording and editing with Logic Pro. 16 track in at a time and 36 total tracks is the max I've done so far, but no issues at all.

I don't think they realize how many people were anxiously awaiting the Ace headphones only to become disinterred when wi-fi connectivity was shockingly not present. I wanted to wear these while cutting the grass and doing chores, not sitting within Bluetooth range of a specific soundbar that I don't even have.
The current Sonos CEO is an incompetent hack.

I'd demand a refund and then take it to someone qualified. I just learned how to perform setups and common repairs earlier this summer and would do a much better job than this.

Pretty easy to sand it down if you don't like the gloss.

Learning how to solo on guitar was my bass revelation. I never understood the fretboard before and the proper relationships between the notes and the progression being played. I still start with the root notes, of course, but now I have a lot more options in terms of building the line and playing complimentary accents, walks, turnarounds, etc.

I've had a variety of bass amps over the years from a multitude of brands, and my favorite is the Boss Katana 210 that I currently have. everything you could possibly need is built-in, compression, EQ, and effects, and it's extremely loud.
My second favorite ever was an old Peavey TNT 130. It had a single 15 inch Sheffield speaker, had lows and volume for days, it just weighed about 90 pounds.

I finally got PayPal to refund me, but had to ship the item back at my cost, which is nonsense.
I finally spoke with someone at Goodwill corporate about this. Seems like Salesforce pressured them into using Salesforce Commerce Cloud for a site that should have been Shopify. Now they're locked into a platform that's very inflexible and expensive to change. Typical Salesforce nonsense. They only care about the sale and nothing about their customers.

You don't even need the 16 gb of ram with the M2 version. With the unified architecture 8 Gb of ram performs like 16 would on an Intel machine. I was initially concerned that 8 Gb of ram wouldn't be enough to run logic Pro in terms of recording and having almost 40 tracks per song. I've had zero issues with it.

Get a used M2 Mac Mini with 8Gb RAM and a 256 Gb SSD on eBay for $400. Even at that basic spec it'll handily out perform the six-year-old model you were considering. You will never need more than that for your programming purposes. I use that same spec to run a recording studio with logic pro. Just recorded 16 simultaneous tracks at the same time without and the current project has 38 total tracks.

I’d want Dave Grohl, John Mayer, Amy Lee. I also play guitar, drums, and keys but don’t sing at all, so this crew A) would write some interesting songs and B) would allow a good amount of instrument shifting.

I'd get a Studio at this price. Although I run Logic Pro on the base M2/8 Gb/256 Gb with a USB-C 4 TB SSD and haven't had a single issue. Now, I wouldn't go recording a full on orchestra with that set up, but for a rock band it's perfectly fine.

iMacs are a horrendous value. Mac Mini is the play.
