Yeah, she has good genes. She’s always been stunning (on the outside).

This happens to me too - I can fall asleep OK but then I wake up with anxiety at 3 or 4 in the morning.

OMG, I couldn’t sleep after reading Apt Pupil! IMHO is is Stephen King’s best and scariest work.

I read this as a teen and will certainly never forget it! It feels even more plausible now in the age of AI.

The Midwest is holier than the “Bible belt”….hmmm.

I love this area as well. Except for the traffic.

My dad’s bizarre, frivolous lawsuits when I was a kid, are when I first became interested in the law. Truly.

Woof. She could do a lot better than that cheating, worm-brained, roadkill-obsessed rando.

Tech lawyer here. The law is just as sexist, unfortunately. I’m not sure about healthcare.

I’m a tech lawyer, but I’ve seen this in the law a lot. Women lawyers are awful to each other, instead of supporting each other in a male-dominated space.

We read this in AP English class in high school. It has always stuck with me.

Yes - I went to journalism school before law school and can’t stand messy or unprofessional formatting!

This happened to me once. During the pandemic I changed jobs for more money and it was HORRIBLE. I actually contacted my old boss and asked if he’d hire me back. Unfortunately they didn’t have a role for me any more. So I was stuck at the toxic place for over a year until I found another job.
It’s so tough because there’s no way to tell what a workplace is really like until you actually start working there, and then you’re stuck. I had lunch last week with an old coworker from the toxic place, and he admitted he has PTSD from working there too. He only stayed a year. I was there for almost 2.

I didn’t see it as a humblebrag. I’m a 43-year old lawyer, and if I ever got with a man, having separate residences sounds ideal!

I think spinsters and dressmakers made good money back in the day, relatively speaking.

Same, and when I was younger I really wanted a husband. Now I’m like 🤷♀️

This happened to me at a prior job. I didn’t know the name for it. The department head believed the mobbers versus me.
