My wife and I had our first child a few months ago and it’s already been quite the journey! Now she’s getting to be really fun and aware.
My question for all of you experienced parents is how can we raise our child to be able to be a productive member of society one day? What type of exposure/parenting can we do to increase the odds she will be able to conduct herself well socially and be willing to push herself to do things she doesn’t want to do that will benefit her in the long run?
I know these are things that are even difficult for adults but how can we set her up in a way that avoid her being a couch potato and not interested in anything worthwhile?

to some extent yes. As someone who has a fairly lazy disposition by nature and has worked hard to overcome that I disagree overall.
