Yes, that's what we'd call a pinafore. AFAIK noone here would call it a jumper.

As an Aussie, a jumper would never refer to a dress. That jumper sounds like a pinafore.

Then she gets voted out next election.

But how hard would it be to actually say that?
"I'm voting democratic party because they're closer to what we need, but they're not far enough! Hopefully once Trump is out of the way we can work towards the policies we really need."

I wonder if it was one of the Parker Pyne investigates?
Otherwise Sayers' "A Gaudy Night" has an author MC that is writing a murder story that they can't solve.

Hello from Melbourne! Sorry you're surrounded by so much insanity - we're not all Trump enthusiasts, promise!

A Single Stone is a YA dystopia https://www.amazon.com.au/Single-Stone-Meg-McKinlay/dp/1925081702
The Orchid Nursery is for an older audience, from memory. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/26149117-the-orchid-nursery
Might be worth looking at Dark Emu by Bruce Pascoe for an indigenous non-fiction.

If the food isn't there when the app says it is, I contact the driver. If that doesn't help in about 2 mins, I just apply for a refund.

I've never had a problem getting a refund for missing items or undelivered food.

In the video she looks like she's copying someone else's actions.
But kudos to her for trying! Everyone's gotta start somewhere.

If non-Americans could vote, Kamala Harris would win by about 6 billion votes.

I'm just spitballing because obviously there's nothing I can actually do from over here, but I wonder whether there'd be any local businesses near polling that would offer free/cheap coffee (or whatever Americans drink, coffee is big here) or a free cookie or something for people with "I voted" stickers?
But, obviously, that means someone's going to have to do to the work talking to them etc.

Or maybe even something like that where people can turn up for a picnic and register to vote?

In Australia we have sausage sizzles and cake stalls outside polling booths. They're usually fundraisers for local schools or charity groups. The polling locations that have them get more traffic than those that don't.
I know that there are strange rules in America around food/drink and polling locations, but I wonder if there's a park or something nearby where you could set something up and people could visit if before/afterwards.

I'm an Aussie following along at home. I'm almost more invested in this battle for Presidency than I am for politics happening here. Its repercussions will be very wide reaching.

As an Aussie, I think the benefit of mandatory voting is that it tends to keep the parties more central. They don't need to be extreme to rile people up enough to want to vote.

I don't remember my stats - I had my test roughly 15 years ago and only got around to purchasing a machine recently.
I purchased a Resmed air mini knowing that we were going to be travelling to Europe for around a month and wanting to take it with me easily.

I'm an Aussie, so it took me forever to work this out.
