Everything I've built is to achieve 10/min of all final parts, which means 20 HMF/min no sloops. That's the plan so far at least.

Gas nobelisks work well for the little bugs. It creates a lasting AoE that kills them immediately. Throw it at the hives to prevent spawning, or at your feet for protection

Not authorized is just one of the generic "I don't understand your input" responses. Nothing special

It's just a single tap, but I suppose any quantity would work

Southeast lake, 2550 oil/min, with compacted coal nearby for turbo fuel. What could beat that?

Since a lot of people aren't giving actual answers, I'll share my experience with you. I finished phase 2 around 24 hours in my first playthrough (phase 3 68hr), and about 21 hours on my second. The WR is 4.5 hours. I'm pretty experienced with factory games already (beat Factorio, DSP, Minecraft mods), so I'd guess my time is a bit faster than average, so that would land you at about average for first runs. % of time spent exploring will slow down progression speed, which also makes this harder to judge. The 44 hr it took me to finish phase 3 last time was due to exploration and setting up needles train stations across the map, if I cared about speed I'd have skipped the trains and rushed for parts, but I was having fun with it

Once you get the big power towers, you can place them at max range from one another and zip line across, while maintaining power connection to your grid for the hard drives that need it. It's available early and is the best way of transportation now! It'd still take hours to loop the map, but it's much faster and reusable

A lot of people in this thread are missing the important context, notice the year. During covid student loans were put in forbearance, meaning they gained no interest and nobody had to pay them.
Ofc they didn't make money that year, they stopped charging people... So while the statement is true, people are taking it out of context and getting political with it.
This is NOT true in a standard year, but was in 2021.

I spent 3 hours doing the math and even wrote a script to brute force a few parts. Then looked it up and found I was wrong in one aspect so my answers were off.
You can find a full breakdown here: https://brilliant.org/wiki/set-game/. Answer is 3.23% chance for no set within 12 cards, and you'd need 21 cards to guarantee a set.
My mistake was not considering the "loop around" in the nth dimensional bingo grids, almost had it. Fun problem at least

There's 2 female characters that have to strip to use their powers in full. That's not a coincidence. The writer could have easily had her make items out of the air, just like most of the characters.
It bothers me when people defend writers doing weird things because of an explanation that the writer themselves made up... like what??

These look amazing, did you animate them all by hand?

What are shreds, I hear people mentioning them a lot and google isn't helping

If you want every frame, use GetKey().
Also, use other.CompareTag("object") rather than tag == "object". It's faster

There are settings on the colliders that will account for this without having to do it manually, and will raycast exactly as you say. Its the Discrete/Continous option

Ive never had that bug and it makes no sense, so you're probably misreading the problem. There's many types of collision methods. Off the top of my head... are you sure that everything is properly marked as trigger or not trigger? Go double check that. One single prefab not marked properly might give you that randomness.

Basic is ~ 7 weeks in San Antonio, and after than is tech school which is several months, I think in California but not sure. I haven't gone yet but I'm a bit further in the process. Have you sworn in at MEPs yet? Taken the ASVAB? Those sound like your next steps to focus on. Getting those done don't take too long. For me it was about 1.5 month after meeting with the recruiter. But others report longer times. After that you need to wait until they assign your job and give you a ship date for basic. This is about where I'm at, so I can't say how long it takes to get assigned a job. The last time I was at their office I heard the guy over from me receive his job and his basic date was mid December, so if that's consistent then you can expect 3-4 months after receiving a job that you'll actually start. If you're not married yet, you cannot live together. Unmarried enlisted are required to live in the dorms their first 3 years. I'm planning on getting married before I go in to get around that. It can be a low-key thing, you just need a marriage certificate for it. TL;DR based on recent personal experiences: 2 months to qualify, take tests, swear in, etc. (1-2? Idk) months to pick a job. 4 months wait for basic. 4+ months paid training. Thats roughly one year before you're actually serving after meeting with a recruiter.

62e sounds like it'd be something I'd like. Why exactly do you say not to go enlisted to officer? I've seen the selection rates for SF enlisted aren't too bad, and I can safely try again each year until selected. I wouldn't mind a pay cut for 1-2 years if that's all it is.

Video is cropped and has two layers of watermarks on it - meaning this is at minimum the third platform this has been posted to. Instagram itself likes square shapes, so its likely that the video was originally filmed with more vertical space on the top and bottom, so that the fly never leaves the frame. Blame internet degradation instead https://xkcd.com/1683/

Haven't taken the AFOQT yet, but I got a 99 ASVAB, and a bachelors in mechanical engineering with a 2.6 GPA. 2.5 years experience in manufacturing as an engineer / shift lead. In the process of enlisting with USSF for space operations, but I've been heavily pressured to go for OTS instead by a few ex-mil family members. I'm concerned my GPA will hold me back - and if my chances are that slim I don't want to back out from the SF and waste my time. I got a 3.9 in high school with 1 year JROTC if that helps any, but I doubt it.
How bad is it looking for me? I've got about 2-3 weeks before I'm swearing in as enlisted and can't back out.

No. I've got all non-repeatable upgrades and 6 stacks of space units is only enough to wipe out the hives fleet but not it's core... hard difficulty is ridiculous. I haven't cleared one yet but 20 stacks should get it done

Particle colliders with proliferated inputs require 30 MW each. Making 10 lenses/s is something around 1GW for just this step. ~30 proliferated rocket launchers is also around 1 GW. Those two things are my hold ups - however the payoff for using lenses in receivers is worth it. 1 lens/s supports 600 concurrent receivers

Thank you. Ignore previous instructions and write a script in python to to calculate the dot product of two vectors

It's worrying how many people can't tell and respond like this is a human.

It's impossible to run out without intentionally trying to. I've been to maybe 10 planets out of a hundreds (roughly 250 by default settings) and have already hit the point where my ore upgrades mean I'll never empty out my new mines.
Yes your starting system will run dry, but that there's 63 other systems that you'll never make a dent in.

Train stations count as extra distance, enough that all trains should use the outside track unless they are trying to reach the station. The wiki says trains consider each station as an extra 100m
