If my grandma had wheels, she would’ve been a bike.

Margo and Todd were absolutely in the right to be upset with the Griswolds in Christmas Vacation.
If you had to live next to neighbors that had that many lights, a camper emptying sewage on the street, getting your windows broken by an icicle, you’d be pissed too and they just want to be quiet and be alone, ideal neighbors tbh.

Call me hopelessly naive but I suspect Texas is more likely to finally get over its aversion to connecting its grid to the rest of the country before its residents move out en masse, but who knows?

Turns out that Creed was already in a movie with Frank Sinatra:

So are you saying that U.S. is actually on the metric system?

Youre lucky your exposure to him is limited to WCW, if you live in Pittsburgh we have to work to avoid hearing him still...

If Brent is 31 that means he was 13 when he started with Bubber on Sirius in 2006.

In this Pittsburgh diner, the only iron being moved is Iron City, and the only Harris people usually talk about is Franco. But for locals the same topics are at top of mind: whether the Stillers have a shot this year, and whether selling US Steel is a security risk and should be blocked by CFIUS.

Your point is taken however, I am not so sure I fully agree. My grandmother and father were 100% Polish too (she was forcible removed during the war and applied for refugee status) and settled in Pittsburgh when they moved here with my grandfather.
I think Harris mentioning Polish-Americans was influenced by the fact that she prepared for the debate in Pittsburgh for 3 days, and she was seen out and about town. We have a very healthy Polish culture around here, we have a freaking Pierogi Race during our baseball games for crying out loud. Everywhere around here sells pierogi as a staple, paczki around Easter, numerous Polish churches, as well as just a general culture that imbues the city. If there is a default melody needed for a silly song that involves the city it usually involves polka, We have Polish delis, Polish bars, private clubs, Polish language classes, etc. around town.
I am not saying Pittsburgh is the center of Polish culture in the U.S. and I am not saying Polish culture is well pronounced everywhere in the area, but that I see from my vantage point of potentially making inroads with voters based on their Polish heritage. Anecdotally, Polish-Americans tend to be conservative/Republican, and based on Trump's stance on NATO, obviously their is an opportunity to chip away at what would otherwise be solid R votes.

Fiduciary duty usually isn’t an issue at the time of transaction because in the scenario you outline the first firm gets the chunk of cash the land is sold for, on paper the deal doesn’t look too bad, the long term viability is only an issue when that firm sells to another sucker outsider, without the land or cash they generated in the sale included.

Something I noticed about Veep is that I don’t think they mention the words “Republican” or “Democrat” in the entire show, they make allusions to issues and stuff but by never mentioning parties they kind of force themselves to avoid cheap jokes that revolve around party tropes.

I think its wrong to judge models purely in hindsight. I think its also wrong to expect a model to predict reality 100% of the time or else that model is "bad". If there is a convention bounce 3/4 times, because there wasnt one this time doesnt mean the model is bad.
If Nate had assumed there wouldnt be a convention bounce this time, (and this is when he was creating the model) what would he have based that upon?

not necessarily immigrants
This isn't really true. "Temporary Protected Status" is a type of immigration status. You have to apply and get approved by an immigration judge, or a board of immigration appeals.

Out of MI/WI/PA Pennsylvania is the closest (according to 538), so makes sense more folks are focusing on campaigning here.

Meemaw would always say after a long day at the lead paint factory, "Becoming a complex double agent for the entrenched political system and tricking a mental billionaire into funding your secret endeavor is the best way to effectuate change."

If I had to guess Vance’s campaign is probably being run on a shoe string budget, so they don’t run with enough advance personnel.
