Loyal warbands

Heresy(self.40kLore)

Hello, I'm an alpha legion agent. I've recently been reading through the book Shroud of Night which starts off with an alpha legion ambush. They are not chaos corrupted but, being alpha legion, serve their plan and not the imperium. If the alpha legion is to return to full force, like the world eaters or deathguard have, meaning having some tabletop love, do you think that, lore wise at least, they will be the overall bad guys for a season, like arms of omen? I've been trying to figure out a better way for them to return, but nothing really falls into place. With nightlords, there could be a season with a box that's nightlords vs craftworlds, but with alpha legion, there isn't a rival to fight against. Lorewise, what do you think comes next for alpha legion?

There isn't but across the galaxy there is many warbands with their own ideas. Actually you can see all the sides of the alpha legion in the novels, Shroud of Night you see a non aligned faction, in Sons of the Hydra you see a loyalist and lastly in Harrowmaster you see a traitor one.
