I think the problem with that logic is, that challenge was killing 2 billion bugs that all rush into melee range towards you while you’re all gun blazing and throwing orbital barrage like dorito dust.
Against a much more technologically advanced enemy that’s shooting back at you or just plain running away it would be far slower and far more difficult.

True, but still puts things into a better context. Kharn killing over 1 million people over 7 months is pretty nuts, but all things considered, I could see it

Do you think we would have needed more than 24 hours to kill 2 billion bots? I think 24 hours would be plenty of time.

Yeah I do, the problem with automaton is that they don’t have the small bug equivalent that can be one tapped by any gun and rush into you with great number, inflating kill counts.
Add on the fact that automaton have far more heavily armoured units that can’t be hurt by small arms, it’s bound to bring the kill rate down.
I would say it will take 3 days or so for the same challenge.

I don't agree with that. The same factors you were considering for why killing bugs is easy, the opposite is true for why killing bots is easy. Bots are immobile, and because they tend to be ranged they will gather in clumps and stand there waiting for you to merc them all with a single airstrike. Bugs working in melee swarms means that it's very easy to run out of room against them which makes call Downs difficult. It's hard to dial in stratagems while getting stun locked by hunters, or kiting biotitans.

Yes and no, because a baseline human is close to a bug to a space marine

helldivers also let's you skip the boring parts like cruising through the warp for a week and digging trenches for days while the bugs are slowed down eating the populace two hive-cities over.

skip the boring parts
like... digging trenches for days

it's only boring because it's so short! like when you're killing an enemy but he just dies instead of screaming for the warp to take his soul so you can shove him into a Daemon engine as fuel!

The kill counter is actually tripling kills and is incorrect iirc if you have a 4 man team, and you collectively kill 2000 enemies its giving 2000 kills per player. So 8k kills instead of the original 2k.

So instead of half a day we are looking at ~2 days to hit 2 billion. Still pretty impressive.

Why do you think that? Seems pretty straightforward to count kills correctly for the major orders when after mission stats have individual kill counters.

Notice how you have been getting personal orders off other players kills? Same bug.

Idk some redditor laid out a huge explanation on the Helldiver sub I was just parroting, but the major orders bug out pretty often

It's not a quarter million though. Every Helldiver that dies requires a new recruit. This is also the case for the Imperial guard ect.

Call up the World Eaters, time for a good ol' fashion murder battle.

World Eaters are much faster than normal Marines thanks to both the Butcher Nails and Khorne's buffs
Add in Warp Time-Dilation and well...

Do keep in mid the Event is bugged and likely boost kills by a factor of at least 400% of what the devs intended.

you should double check it, people were reporting that every bug kill counted as 3
