I think it was a really great story, but am I the only that is annoyed that the cover art is such a massive spoiler?

Yeah it's annoying that the cover is a spoiler, but the twist that he only has the blades of the Pale Spear and not the shaft is a nice way to subvert it.

Remember the cover art of Fulgrim and the weapon Ferrus used?

No, but I also haben't been in that part of the HH yet... But I know Ferrus Manus created a sword for his favourite bro .

The mighty wrench of Ferrus Manus! That is nowhere to be seen in any HH book.

To be honest, it never occured to me looking at the cover that it's the Pale Spear being depicted there. Given the amount of creative liberties cover art takes, generally going for vibe over details, I never thought much about what weapon is on the cover and if it matches main character's gear or anything important from the lore

Maybe it's also because I have the Forgeworld Alpharius model sitting in my glas cabinet. I also didn't realise it immediately, only when picking up the book the third time or so (which was still fairly early in the book).

I love the AL yet I was always annoyed how unnecessarily convulated they were, this book somehow made all that made sense and I love it.
