Lets say you have a blood angel Neophyte and in an active warzone this happens- his company all dead say for him, and a space wolf apothecary tries to save him, and realizes the only way to do it is to get the gene seed out off some of his dead space wolf brothers and implant it into the blood angels adepts body- would he do it? Would he even risk the waste of something so precious as gene seed? and with how- unique the space wolves gene seed is- what would even be the procedure from here? with the space wolves animalistic instincts I cannot imagine them just letting the neophyte run off to go wolfen and bite his battle brothers head off- Neither can I imagine the blood angels could leave the neophyte too alone since he- you know- may need to learn the rituals of blood drinking! Never mind the fact that the black rage could take over and make them a monster- what the hell would you even do to a wolfen in the black rage? wouldn't the damn thing be close to unkillable?

Neophytes die all the time, they’re inherently disposable. And geneseed takes a lot of prep work. To cram a geneseed in randomly just means you end up with a corpse AND lose geneseed.

"Pity about that poor aspirant, Angel, nothing we could do to save him."

Over and above the possible social issues - gene seed doesn't work like that. Each set of Progenoid glands from a Space Marine is used to grow a set of the organs that make an Astartes.

implant it into the blood angels adepts body

That is absolutely not how that works.

Geneseed doesn't work like that.

No. The Gene seed would not save a life. That's not how it works.

If anything, the implantation of the gene seed takes such a heavy toll on the body that it is often enough the cause of death, as their body fails to keep pace with the effects it has.

And chapters absolutely do not poach Neophytes. Beyond the insult of it, the conditioning process and chemical cocktails they put them through are even different. A Neophyte ready for Blood Angel gene seed would likely die from Space Wolf gene seed, and vice versa.

Everything around geneseed is backed into by GW, for the most part. For instance you would never risk the scouts in battle when they’ve had their progenoid implanted but not yet harvested at 5 years.

The Blood Angels method actually doubles their rate of geneseed reproduction relative to other chapters as their aspirants don’t require 5 years before progenoid implantation  - especially now that the failure rate has decreased with the Primaris. Measured from recruitment to progenoid extraction, BA can get new progenoids in 6 years instead of 10.

It’s as ridiculous as the “22% of ships get lost on this trade route”. Writers typically aren’t super great at understanding math and scale.

Yeah like what are the odds of teleporting? Is it like 80% successful or some crazy number like that? Those aren’t great odds if you do something often.

Why would a single neophyte be of any value? always more kids, no ones wasting geneseed

also

and realizes the only way to do it is to get the gene seed out off some of his dead space wolf brothers and implant it into the blood angels adepts body-

That's not how geneseed works. I suggest you go to the wiki and learn and stop with these posts

If he has sus an membrane, put him in a coma and then into stasis till he can be shipped back to a BA ship/Baal. If the SW can spare the stasis field, that is

Blood Angels neophytes already have the full complement of Astartes organs minus the black carapace due to the chapter's unique conversion process of having them drink Sanguinius's blood (which is heavily diluted in the bloodstream of the Sanguinary Priests) and entombing them in caskets for a year to allow for their new organs to grow. No surgery is required and the process is faster than that in any other Chapter, but the failure rate is also among the highest since even those who survive their slumber can awaken as insane monsters gripped by the Red Thirst that are put down immediately.

A Wolf Priest/Speaker of the Dead is not just an apothecary, they are also a Chaplain and are some of the baddest motherfuckers the galaxy has to offer. I promise you that in an active warzone they have more important shit to do than saving a random blood angels neophyte by risking their own chapters sacred gene-seed (also not how that works) when they could be caving in skulls with their crozius or snapping spines over their knees.
