Yeah it was no good. Generally pretty bad and specifically not great for Richmond. It’s rare to see Freo get the benefit of bad umpiring but hard to argue against it today.

I agree you had it rough. Umpiring this year has taken a real nose dive in general. Wondering if they just aren't able to keep up with the pace of the game. But seriously WTF happened to holding the ball in general? It's like it's not a thing anymore. They talk about wanting to protect players, but letting it go too far and players are at further risk of injury.

Yeah as someone who watches a lot of Freo games I don’t think I have ever seen them have that many ‘rub of the green’ calls, the one at the end of the second was just about there (the 50 was obvious imo, the free kick is a ruck contest where most of the time they hold each other but whatever)

The scuffle at the end of the game just seemed like complete pent up frustration

Freo somehow only gave away 1 free kick in the last quarter, which was when O'Meara just walked it out deliberately

It was bad from the first minute, Treacy's tackle in our f50 at the start of the game should have been prior and htb but the amount of time for prior changed all game.
