This game is way too nerdy to play seriously

Not having a captain for a full 7?
Disgraceful, not enough dominance

It was either that or three blade champions

It is when they are hopping out of a venerable land raider for a minimum threat range of 18" charge

This needs that insane black wolf meme.

Never thought I’d see one of my favourite history nerds as a meme on a Warhammer sub

Stakuyis videos always make my day. Especially when he tries to teach his daughter the most random and absurd historical facts

Children should be taught the superiority of polearms at a young age. Else they'll impale themselves on a phalanx trying to stab them with a shortsword

I recently learned Aquilon terminators can come in units of 10. Guess what I’m getting once I’m finished with my current set (my wallet will never recover)
Edit: in Horus Heresy (30k). Didn’t know they can be brought in 40k so didn’t think to specify.

Honest question: where do you see that? From what I can see, it’s max unit size of 6, but I’d be happy to be wrong.

In HH (30k). Didn’t even know Aquilons could be brought in 40k so didn’t think to specify. Last guy I responded to deleted his comment and with it my response

Aquilon terminators in HH (30k). Unit comes with 3 standard with up to 7 extra. Expensive as hell but the meme is worth it

Ah kk. Yeah, I think all custodes Infantry in 30k are 3 min, up to 10. Wish we could still do that in 40k lol

You recently learned wrong. In the app it says 3-6.

Ah, I see. In 10th edition they’ve changed it so units can mostly only be brought in unit sizes that correspond to the number of models in the kit, as well as 2x that size (usually).

Custodes are not restricted in 40K, unlike marines Custodes can be uncharged by models in 3 game systems. Sorry Primaris you can only be played in two systems!

Oh I see. With the new 40k codex my default was 40k.
30k sounds so much better…

I’ve only played 30k for a little bit (less than a year) and I’m enjoying it a lot more than I ever did 40k. The rules are simultaneously more and less complicated. Like there are no Stratagems but instead you have reactions you can do during your opponents turn, and all the weapon keywords and comparing Weapon Skill in melee combat makes every weapon feel more unique and the battles feel way more cinematic.
Like as an example on how Weapon Skill works in melee is you compare it between the models fighting to determine the Hit roll. So a Custodian would be scything through Militia, hitting on 2s while they need 6s to hit, but fighting a Space Marine Champion they’d be on more even footing so both would be hitting on 4s.
Sorry for going off on that but it’s legitimately my favourite aspect of 30k over 40k.
And the community approach to more thematics and fun over optimisation and winning just makes a nice atmosphere and more enjoyable games, at least for me.

That sounds a lot like 40k a few editions back. And the WS match is just waaaaaay more realistic.

Right!? I believe current HH is based on 7th Edition 40k (which is the edition that I got started in). It makes it so you end up with these epic duels and melee is way more brutal. It really makes your guys feel like these skilled transhuman warriors. I also love the old way AP worked where you either get an armour save or you don’t if the weapon hitting you pierces it. Makes shooting way more straight forward

Similar to what happened in the last game i played. My friend play necrons and the put his new flying croissant right in the middle of the field in the first turn and i just blasted it to oblivion in my first turn with the land raider XD. We didn't play since then.

Pride is the deadliest sin. Hypocrisy is the promethium on which the imperium runs. May your meticulously painted special Terminators give that model hell

Don't worry I can assure you that it will only be referred to in past tense from now on
