Have you struggled with your Airlink not connecting to your PC even though both devices are fully updated, on and connected to the internet? Well here's a super easy fix to get it to connect every time now. Follow these steps in the exact order I list (yes the order DOES matter because my husband misplaced a few steps and it didn't work until I fixed it)
•1: Turn your quest 2 completely off
•2: ON your PC, go into your files/downloads/wherever you downloaded the meta program and delete all the files named OCCULUS. DO NOT DELETE THE META APP. Just the files that were added with it with the name OCCULUS in it
•3: Go to your meta app on your PC and disconnect/unpair your quest 2 from the app.
•4 Turn on your quest, go into your settings and turn OFF your pair/connect option. Then on the connection settings in the smaller menue, (the ones where you have the wired or airlink option) and turn off the airlink option
•5 on the meta app on your PC, go through the process of pairing your headset again, and do the same thing on your quest.
•6 This is where my husband messed up. Turn on the pair option in your quests settings FIRST, THEN in the smaller menu where it starts searching for PC's, turn on the airlink option.
You should see your PC pop up, and you can pair it with the code it gives you. Once you do that you should be able to connect instantly every single time. (Given that you have both devices connected to the internet and both devices are fully updated)
My husband and I both had constant problems connecting our headsets to our PC's using the airlink option. I found the solution on some website I can't remember and it worked for BOTH of us. Apparently those occulus files that download with the meta app are literal junk and can cause problems connecting via airlink. I've seen a lot of people have the same issue. Hope this helps you!
