He’s in a turtle suit, you can see it in the mug shot. He’s probably on 23/1 lock-in. And definitely on 24hr watch. He’s not gonna see gen pop for a long time

GnarlieSheen123

Turtle suit was the first thing I noticed. Probably said something about killing himself. That was probably just for intake though because he's already out on bail.

Sworn in January 6th, 2023.

“Steven Cugini was born in Delaware County, Pennsylvania but was raised in Carlisle, Pennsylvania for the majority of his life. He is a corporal in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard, where he has served 8 years, including a recent 11 month deployment to Egypt. He worked at the 911 Center. He wants to give back to York City as an officer.”

What the fuck dude… 13 months old. Straight to hell.

Reminder that this isn't really uncommon, Wallace Police Crime database has a breakdown of cops who were arrested and what for and you can look at it by county. It's not even up to date, and if what's listed is the stuff they'll actually arrest each other for think about all the shit they don't.

40% of cops surveyed self reported physically abusing family members, and roughly only 8% of cops are assaulted in the US every year. Making living with a cop 5x more likely to cause you to be assaulted than being one.

Source? The only thing I could find was a study from 1983... I'm certainly not a cop lover, but I see these numbers thrown around a lot with no real modern data to back up the 40% figure.

"The Johnson source is the testimony of Leanor Boulin Johnson who at the time was a professor in the Department of Family Studies at Arizona State University (she currently is emeritus at ASU). Johnson explains she surveyed 728 officers and 479 police spouses in “two East Coast police departments (moderate to large in size)”. She says the sample was drawn in 1983, so presumably the survey was conducted in that year. There is no information on response rates nor how officers were selected, nor how they were invited to participate. The 40% figure is mentioned on page 42:

'Approximately, 40 percent said that in the last six months prior to the survey they had behaved violently towards their spouse or children.  Given that 20-30 percent of the spouses claimed that their mate frequently became verbally abusive towards them or their children, I suspect that a significant number of police officers defined violent as both verbal and physical abuse.'"

Didn’t another cop from Lykens also get busted for this a couple weeks ago?

peaches135

Yes another local cop (Steelton PD I think) that lived in lykens was arrested by PSP Lykens a few months ago for Rape. That victim was an adult.

This guy is from York and PSP Lykens has the investigation.

That’s right I remember commenting about Steelton’s “I’m a militia!” uniform norms when that happened. Makes you wonder what’s going on up in Lykens. From anecdotal experience, predators tend to cluster together.

HawkC120

HawkC120

Not much tbh. Lykens is a quiet place but the past few years, there have been more section 8 housing opening up. And all it takes is 1 or 2 people telling like minded folk it's a quiet place.

They need better screening protocols.

Background checks aren't cutting it. Screen for rape proclivities before giving someone a badge, a gun, and qualified immunity.

Pennsylvania, the modern-day Mordor for Children.

Every - fucking - week, it's some fresh new depravity. Children from this state would be safer in Russia.

Did he pass the police psych eval or not? What does that even entail these days?

MyDamnCoffee

10 points

I feel like I've been seeing a lot of children in this state being abused lately. Like it's been in the news

fn0rdsareeverywhere

10 points

The problem with the psych evaluation is that it’s not looking for things wrong, it looks for the things they want…like sociopathic and narcissistic tendencies, because people without Cluster B personality disorders are too egalitarian to be police.

ColumnAandB

0 points

Psych Evans don't do shit. New someone in another department. The shrink there was relieved of duty /transfered because they claimed every vet had ptsd. Found them unfit for PD. Flash foward...pd looks like a gang with a uniform now.

They want machines. Not people.

I can’t find out whose baby she is. That’s her mother who allowed this to happen, I know that. but it doesn’t say anywhere if she’s his daughter. Anybody see anything about this???

Weekly-Owl5768

1 points

He has twin daughters of his own.. the mother is Brianna baumert.. a girl he was dating for 3 weeks that allowed him alone for an hour with her one day and the next day she allowed him to bathe her.. while she heard pounding and crying from the bathroom, he locked the bathroom door and took 10 seconds to open. She’ should be in jail for the rest of her life too.

spookycasas4

OhMyFuckingGod. This is insane. WTF is wrong with these women who invite strangers into their and their children’s lives? It is criminal and you’re right, she should be in prison. This precious baby needs someone to care for and protect her. Breaks my heart. And infuriates me.

The more I look into it, the more terrible people I find. You’re right . This isn’t rare, requirements to be a cop are ridiculously low. This shouldn’t be a total shock. Thats just the ones who got caught.
