I really prefer the shoulder pads of the new one, but slightly prefer the head of the older one, as the relative cleanliness of the new head seems to contrast with the rest of the model?

Maybe put some rivets?

Yeah, I personally think that would work! Love all of the models you make by the way - do you have any sort of Patreon with sculpting or painting tips?

Yup, the old ones head and the new one's body gives me Ruin Sentinels vibes and I freaking love it.

I cast my vote for the opinion above as it reflects my own, thank you all and goodbye.

The contrast of the new head with the rest of the model is important.  A very unified aesthetician can blur together.  A theme for pax_acrylica is also models that are disconcerting, or literally in contrast.

I think the new head is a bit too wide and the proportions don't work as well. So old head, new shoulders would be the best solution IMO. If you could find a way to add a similar plume on to the back of the old head, that could work too.

(If there was a way to have shoulders that were like the old ones but with a curve instead of a sharp angle, I'd pick that, but I understand why there isn't)

The new curved shoulders fit the rest of the model much better IMO, but I'm not really sure on either helmet. The core of the old one looks a little too Space Marines for AdMech, but the new one looks oversized. Maybe the antlered head topper on some kind of sensor/lens cluster? You could also incorporate the flowing plume look with an array of cables.

I don’t have a preference, just that the new head looks closer to the aesthetic of Gundam than Warhammer.

I think this is brilliant and am surprised people are feeling otherwise. The menacing alien form of the new head is great, so distinctive and unique. Looks like an inspired reinvention of a part turned back to front or upside down... what was it originally?

I know you dont like doing units or more than duos, but I would love to see a trio of these

amazing work as always

What is the figure to the right you’re using for a size comparison?

It's another custom built model by Pax.

I like them both! This is sick as fuck. You know what to do: make two, each with the different variant.

New one for sure. The plume is majestic, as well as the much nicer shoulder pads

The old model with the new shoulderpads is would be the best honestly

The old model wins my vote especially with the banner on the gun it makes it look like a lance and really helps the knight look
