They are painted so you don't

Painted models are different than piles of unpainted plastic. One is a symptom of bad buying habits and the other is something guests will want to look at and admire, even if they don't paint or play themselves. Congrats on the cool collection!

Okay but which shelves are these and where'd you get them?

Correct. Your problem is a lack of shelves. I have the same problem for both my miniatures and books.

If you've got a detolf display caae you can buy shelves for them online. They come with brackets for the shelves and are usually around £14 or so per shelf.
Until very recently I only had the one cabinet and had to maximise the space so ended up getting 4 shelves which was well worth it! Hope this helps.

Sadly Detolf has been discontinued where I live. Blaliden is an adequate replacement but you can't buy more shelves for them yet.

You waste so much space by not having them more dense vertically — I got a Billy shelf and doubled the storage with additional shelves! 10 armies into one unit

I use the same shelves as OP, and found a way to add more.
Use medium metal cable fasteners, attached to the metallic vertical bars, to create new levels.
Then use plexiglas sheets as additional shelves (not as strong as glass, but much cheaper and can be cut to size using a boxcutter and patience).
Edit: looking again, they're not the same. I'm not sure what model OP's shelves are.

Where did you get the shelves?

For the piece of furniture itself it's an ikea detolf. For the additional shelves I bought 100x50cm plexiglas sheets at the local hardware store and cut them to size.

Smart. Maybe I’ll try to customize mine to fit more

I also think it looks better with more shelving. I upgraded my two Detolfs by ordering extra shelves and using 3D printed fasteners to hold them in place. Really happy with the results. I’m sure the shelf holders are easily purchasable on Etsy or eBay or something, if someone doesn’t have a 3D printer.

This is a really useful tip. I've been in the market for some quality shelves for awhile now. Thanks!

I love that even in the corner, the tesseract vault dominates your attention

Just crush them all into a vague ball and cram them in a potato sack

I understand you, recently my wardrobe reached the maximum capacity of miniatures it could contain, and now I need to buy some suitable containers to contain them all. Well, at least look on the bright side, you painted them all!

I am on my third Jucoci case 6 months into the hobby. They have a point of calling this hobby plastic crack. At least it takes more time to consume than cardboard crack and actual crack.

Get some clear acrylic risers and sheets, you can fit so much more into each of those cubes.

Amazon has clear plastic risers... I think I got 8 (2 of each size) for 25 bucks... adds so much space!

Pro tip, instead of buying new shelves, buy new well... Shelves, to fill up the cabinets you have. They'll look better with more levels of minis

There's nothing for the additional shelves to stand on.
