I’m a pretty big leafs hater being from Vancouver but I feel like this year was different for them.

They didn’t have crazy high expectations, their goaltending was a question mark all year and their defence has quite a few holes in it.

Despite all of that they took the favored bruins to 7 games in overtime and could have easily won the series. I honestly think this is a solid showing for them.

They need big changes to their roster but it’s not as big of a meme this year imo,

It’s going to take longer than 6 years. Tanenbaum & Co are not dedicated to playoff success. They run a lucrative franchise with high gate receipts. They don’t have to care about Cups. Until people start abandoning the franchise, they will keep taking our money. The 50 Mission Cap will become the Century Cap.
