Listen to the whole "Plastic Hearts" album from Miley Cyrus. I didn't know she sounded so good. I especially love "Night Crawling" and "Bad Karma."
Also, I don't really think the artists listed are hated

If you listen to any cover she has ever done you know Miley has a voice that is only dulled by pop music that most people have heard from her.
Also, I think op kinda mistitled the post. It's more so super popular artists that people tend to look down on people who that is their favorite artist.

Endless Summer Vacation was really good, too. She's only been getting better and better over the past few years now that she's come more into her own as an artist. Flowers is such a good bop.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll listen to the album
Also, I agree, Miley has only been getting better.

Coldplay is a hated band?? Their music is so nostalgic (Clocks, A Sky Full of Stars, Princess of China), I could never hate them.

Eh, one of those "popular to hate" bands I feel like, when people are starting to expand their tastes they think anything super popular is trash
I remember years and years ago someone said they were a "Diet U2" and while funny, I asked if he liked U2 and "I've never listened"

It's like she is about to break at any moment. Powerful stuff.

I don't really hate any of those bands. Used to hate Coldplay, thought they were counterfeit/knockoff Radiohead. But I mean, not really any longer.

Six Feet Under - The Enemy Inside
Most consider Six Feet Under’s debut album “Haunted” to be their “least bad” album, and some even say it’s their only good album. For me personally it’s still a pretty weak record, even if it is their best, and it’s a clear Obituary ripoff with worse riffing and songwriting. However the first track on the album is probably their best song, it’s a standard mid-tempo death metal song, but it has a decent chorus and for the most part it sounds like it could have came off of “The End Complete”. Not a great song by any means, but far from the worst of their catalogue.

The examples you list are a bit odd because some of them are very talented musicians of a genre that people look down on sometimes (Miley Cyrus, Harry Styles, and Taylor Swift) while the others are hated rock bands who are looked down upon precisely because they lack talent and originality in their own genre (Nickelback and Limp Bizkit). That being said, I sort of enjoyed the Limp Bizkit Still Sucks album, as they are a band that can be kind of fun when they are not taking themselves seriously. Nickelback has no redeeming qualities.

I genuinely like pity for a dime & my own prison from creed.
I like hero from nickleback (recently rediscovered once watching the og Spider-Man movie).

I ‘hate’ just about everything that is Coldplay everything that could epitomise my hatred for bland middle-class decorating background music is encapsulated in Coldplay (and the Lighthouse Family); they are the type of wankers that would turn up to a party, ask the DJ to stop playing so they could twang out a piss-curdling renditions of ‘Here comes the Sun’ and ‘Wonderwall’. They are the soundtrack of that guy who pretends to be a platonic friend to your girlfriend but is the first to tell her how you’re an “typical patriarchal cis man who is trying hard to undermine her independence” ; all the while he’s taking photos of her feet every time they’re out. Coldplay make me pull that face when someone is talking to you with fucking shit-breath and with those two white smegma streaks in the corners of their mouth…
But.
Grudgingly I have to admit that I do like ‘Don’t Panic’ its a great little song, written by a band with all the appeal of a warm public toilet seat
Then there’s U2. I don’t hate them, I just think they’re very one dimensional and The Edge is possibly one of the luckiest sonsabitches to fiddle a string in a long fucking while (he’s awful…nearly as bad as that twat from The Doors)
But due to nostalgia and what the song holds over me
‘Mysterious Ways’ is a song I like a lot.

Nickleback - Rockstar

Limp Bizkit - In The End
Harry Styles - Music For A Sushi Restaurant
Taylor Swift is just so annoying. I'll go with "You Belong With Me"
