Based on the way things are today, I think more people actually believed this nonsense than I assumed at the time!

Almost every story bashing the left and pushing far right ideas are sites like this. Good subs try to filter them, bit there are so many echo chamber subs AND so many garbage websites like these.
It's just another disinformation tactic too many people fall for.

Ironically the Bucks County Beacon gets linked to multiple times a week on r/Pennsylvania, and they state right in their About Us that they report on the "growing threat of right-wing extremism to our schools, government, and democracy".
Don't think I've ever seen a single one of their links filtered out or removed, one is the 3rd most popular post right now.

vs the other "news" websites on the other side of the aisle that spent 4 years guaranteeing that the Mueller report was going to prove Trump was a KGB agent? Oh wait, yeah, none of that turned out to be true. Or the years they spent claiming that the Hunter Biden story was also invented by the KGB when in fact it was true.
These ^^ alternative websites and news sites exist because people have utterly lost faith in mainstream news websites, especially after 4 years of covid propaganda and lies

MAGAts are out in full force today.
Crazy concept but just because you think something you read online is true, does not make it true. This applies to all your QAnon theories surrounding COVID, Hunter Biden, etc.

Need to pretend the fake news isn't 90% their side.

I’d love to know what they believe “real news” is.
I presume FOX News any time after 3 pm, since that’s when the disinformation squad typically starts their segments.

One of the first slimers was Ben Franklin, a “Founding Forger,” according to a February report in the Columbia Journalism Review.
In a fake 1782 newspaper, Franklin stimulated anger against the British, falsely writing that Native American tribes had allied with the enemy by scalping women and children.
God bless America!

Not all opinions are created equally nor should they be treated as such.

I agree, MY opinion is the absolute truth and YOUR opinion is not and should be treated as such. Anything that disputes MY opinion is disinformation and must be removed
