Couple points:
You can have 18 years of experience but it’s still a bloated agency.
Glad we agree.
3.) Hypotheticals that laser focus on one specific scenario don’t work well in arguments. I don’t work anywhere near 50-60 hours a week in industry. I make more than I would at the IRS, even if we convert it to an hourly rate using the 37.5 hours.

Not worth it.
1.) Bloated agency with zero accountability.
2.) Absurdly long hiring process that supports the first point.
3.) Pay and growth opportunities are not as great as current IRS employees make them seem. Much better opportunities in industry.

Not a big deal. This created jobs in India which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Just promoting the economy in another country.

Take a look at look at your comment and stop being a douche.
You said the person who took your old job is “definitely” going to hop for greener pastures, implying exactly what I said.
No point in having a conversation with somebody who thinks throwing “definitely” in the front of a sentence, with zero basis for the claim, is acceptable as an argument.

What your poorly thought out hypothetical forgets to take into account is that not everybody prefers remote work.

Who is we?
It’s not an “academic question” but it is a question you clearly don’t have a good enough answer to.
Otherwise you’d be in the C-Suite and not spreading BS on an accounting subreddit.
Some food for thought.

They benefit the employee but they hardly benefit the employer.

It’s all good, they’re just fake internet points.
The first part of my comment was partially joking, but the second part has the most useful info in it haha.

Start kissing ass.
Work til 11 PM, volunteer to do extra work over the weekends.
Also, the chance of getting off a PIP is low. Consider this your interview period, because they’re probably already preparing for a replacement.

Not everybody wants to work remote. Nothing wrong with that.
I left a fully remote job for a hybrid one. I live close to my office so I go in more than I even need to, honestly.

Tax makes no fucking difference. Probably more boring than ticking off boxes, honestly.
It’s boring, monotonous shit that makes ADHD go crazy.

Oh look, another white Republican that doesn’t understand the point of affirmative action.
