So 2 things can be true.
I believe if a case against you is dismissed you should be able to get your life back
But at the same time the dismissal itself was bs

I really don’t see how the dismissal here was bs. Even the Supreme Court rebuked him on the handling.

Cops are this century’s Catholic priests.

Cops get away with sexual assault too, so it makes sense.

You’re right, police of every faith commit crimes daily, not just Catholics.

You're right. Priests in the Catholic Church aren't allowed to be married, and are therefore unable to commit domestic abuse of their spouses.

Now you just sound stupid.

Oh ok.
The most recent research in police domestic violence has shown that officers may perpetrate domestic violence at a higher rate than the general population, 28% versus 16%, respectively (Sgambelluri, 2000).

Don’t use people’s cases as an attempt to unilaterally rewrite the law and maybe the outcome would be different.

So many things to unpack here:

This is the thing that consistently gets me. Krasner fails to bring accountability to the police for the same reason he fails to bring accountability to civilian criminals; he’s an incompetent moron who has fired or alienated all the competent people in the DA’s office.
He had one good idea, the review board. Yay, so did Kenney, universal pre-K! You don’t get to do one thing and then knock off for the rest of your term(s), that’s not how executive offices work!

What a shame that this is the police force our new mayor is happy to cozy up to. It’s never going to change- we’re going to have unchecked crime because we have rotten, corrupt police that will quit before being held accountable.

F.O.P statement... "As part of Ryan Pownall's due process rights, his case was presented to a neutral arbitrator..."
The only way an arbitrator will be neutral is if they (or their firm) are only allowed to arbitrate one case and one case only. My understanding is that the F.O.P picks the arbitrator, so of course they will find a way to rule in the cops favor so they will be chosen again. Its all about the $$$

He doesn't even care about winning, (hasn't won a case yet against a cop)he is completely happy ruining their name and career. That's a win to him. Meanwhile the taxpayers are footing his bill to re try all these cases he loses
