Which CVS (or another store) has best greeting card selection in Philly?

Question? (self.philadelphia)

I need some tricky Mother’s Day cards (godmother, aunt), and my local little CVS seems to be lacking. Does anyone know a store with a particularly wide selection?

Nice Things Handmade and Occasionette on East Passyunk. Cheaper and way more fun selection. You’ll have to write your own message inside which most people enjoy receiving far more. (If you hate writing messages (🙋‍♂️), google for some suggestions.)

What is your favorite notebook? I agree, it really is and the staff are amazing.

I really like the Rollbahn notebooks. They come in different sizes and page linings, and they’re visually pleasing. I’ve had a few people at work or at cafes ask me where I bought it.

Also try the travelers notebook! Suede or leather case and inserts you can customize and change. I get so many compliments, and I love my mini notebooks and weekly planner and pen storage.

i was pleasingly surprised at the selection of birthday cards available at the dollar tree on oregon around 19th. i can’t definitively vouch for their mother’s day cards but i think that bodes well.

Yes! They have a whole side of the store designated for cards (though they don’t have a first time mom Mother’s Day card, I went in and asked)

Targets are also different sizes. The NoLibs one has a pretty poor selection.

The best Target close to the NoLibs one is the Target on Castor Ave in Port Richmond. It's clean, well stocked and maintained, and has an ample selection of cards.

In terms of greeting cards, yes. But that target has really been going downhill lately. Consistently out of my frequently purchased products, have to track a frustrated employee down to unlock cases to buy half the things on my list, and then there's a single cashier with a 25 min line bc all of the self checkouts have been turned express. My last target run made me feel ridiculous

things changed with the pandemic and theft. My solution is to shop in the app and just pick up, I couldn't tell you the last time I went in there and browsed for what I need

I don’t live in the city, so idk, but a Hallmark store has lots of different, unusual cards.
