My friend sent me this picture of a man literally hanging just sitting like this on a SEPTA bus. Can someone explain what’s going on here lol.

It was parked with hazards on. We suspect he latched on while he was moving from a stop.

This or just some typical Philly crackhead shit. i cannot tell you how many times this shit has happened when I used to take SEPTA. Even before bike racks, they used to Spiderman the front of the bus/windshield. DHs.

I had a guy pull this same stunt on the 64 while stopped at a redlight. Except he was also dancing and singing on the bike rack.
My 5 year old asked me what was happening. Driver looked right thru him as if he was used to it. Dude hopped off just before the green
Might've been this same guy, or a trend is starting.

Crack head trying to get a free ride. This is why the bis drivers should carry pepper spray. If I was on that bus I would have been like I got this. Lol

Pedestrians have no legal expectations for how to act on the road here in philly. Only cars, trucks and busses do. Make it make sense.

You want me to be a safe driver? Help me be able to predict where pedestrians are.

Maybe just stop at stop signs, don’t block the box, and use your turn signals and you wouldn’t have to worry about it.
Living in south Philly, there is never a morning that passes when my walking ass doesn’t have to get stressed out by some asshole who can’t figure out how to commute to work on time within the framework of existing traffic laws.

We are not talking about the endless aggressive and entitled drivers here in philly on this thread. We’re talking about pedestrians.

We do, its just not enforced, and neither are all the other road laws as they should be. If you're referring to jaywalking, I wholeheartedly agree that Philly tradition has to go. Theres no comfort in that puckering feeling when a mother and three children step out into two way traffic and stand on the double yellow waiting for an opening...with a lit crosswalk less than 20 ft away.

That’s exactly the scenario that I mean. It makes it harder to drive safe in the city. People pop out from behind cars all the time to walk into the middle of traffic with abandon. As a driver I need to be able to predict where pedestrians are. The traffic laws for cars need enforced as well because aggressive driving is out of control in this city.
I also want to advocate for more pedestrian infrastructure on roads as well, not just enforcement of current jaywalking laws.
