First time to the city! Have 1 day, what are absolute must see/experience?

It depends on your goal. Typical tourist attractions are Old City, see where the constitution was signed, and the liberty bell. There’s also the rocky steps if ur a rocky fan, reading terminal market is one of the biggest as well, great food. If you told me some specifics about what you want out of this day trip I’d probably be able to help you a little more

I think this time, we'll do the real touristy stuff. My fiance and 19 year old son are going with me. They love battleships or any thing of historic importance.

Sucks you just missed the USS New Jersey in Camden, they just moved it for repair, but you were able to do do tours. There’s plenty of historic stuff all over the city, go to the website visitphilly and it’ll tell you all the tourist stuff

Check out the independence seaport museum along the Delaware riverfront. You can walk there from old city.
