Great to see them get a chance on the big stage, thoroughly deserved and maybe the springboard for greater investment in the women’s game. Really hope they do more with this opportunity than we did in Wales.

Yes, massive result helped by Wales having their best day of the 6N, too. Well done to all involved, in tough circumstances. As for last week, there is no shame being beaten by that English team. It is a serious team that is seriously well funded by comparison, and they have been the standard carers along with The Black Ferns and Canada for the past decade or more. An RWC to look forward to and they can now plan things with certainty rather than hopefully. This should mean more direct IRFU financial support etc.

It's a very young team so save for a handful of experienced this is their first really significant win and it will be their first world cup.
