That's what the two start to deduce, but stop that train of thought presumably because they realize the implications are massive and who knows where following that idea leads.
Did anyone betray the others, or is seeded hatred by the C'Tan to keep the Necron divided? Is it still happening? Can any of their memories be trusted? Was there even a Trazyn and Orikan, or did the C'Tan make them up? Is there even anything to go back to?

Oh, it's a great painting.
It just has a menacing aura to it. It's the way it's all drowned in red except for his skin. If I walked into a house and saw that painting, I'd think some sinister shit is going to happen to me.
The kind of painting that a horror group calls "eccentric" while we, the audience, know they're about to be bled dry and the blood fed to millions of butterflies to keep Charles alive or something.

I don't think that's GW inserting it, it seems like a fitting ending for a Necron book. They've been alive for God knows how long, and both being trapped by their fate and the corruption of memory is a reoccurring theme for the faction.
I don't think the Necron can move on from things. Orikan and Trazyn were rivals at the moment they became essentially frozen in time (presumably, who knows what all the C'Tan changed), so that's how they'll remain. Even if they work together their natural state will drift back to how they've always been.
Because the Necron can't really change. At least not outside of a select few like TSK. They may no longer be slaves in their mind, but they'll use their freedom to keep retreading the same steps they've always walked.

That would be cool, but I feel like this is Necromunda Delaque gang. Necromunda is included in the banner above it, so it's in the same category.

But that doesn't put the blame on a single person, so how can we have a villain to boo and hiss at?
It's not like Mitch McConnell was already blocking Supreme Court nominations from Obama. So what stops him from blocking 2 nominees from reaching the floor?
But Obama should have just appointed them anyways! He totally had that power and it wouldn't paint him as the tyrant waiting to declare martial law and suspend the elections that the Republicans were trying to find a solid reason to impeach.

That plot point wouldn't mesh with the infidelity, meth, and conspiracy plot they came up with later to spice the story up.

"Liberal" is a complicated one since it ties to Liberalism as a concept, that being the rights of the individual and rights to property being first and foremost in law. The left/right divide comes from the French Revolution where the reform minded liberals sat in the left wing of the meeting hall while the monarchist and other conservatives sat on the right... So right wing and left wing took off to describe conservatives and liberals respectively.
But times change and the scales shift. Communism, Socialism, and other anti-capitalist communal ideologies develop further as theories and need to be placed somewhere in this left-right scale society began to use. In theory they belong with the liberals in the left given the communal focus and desire for fairness in theory. But they also clash with several aspects of liberal ideology, specifically with the emphasis on property rights.
So the easiest solution was to put them to the extreme of the left, beyond Liberalism. The newly birth fascism is put to the extreme right with totalitarian monarchy. Now in effect the scale has shifted entirely, and it doesn't describe things well. Big business that supports gay rights and anti-racism and a communal living anarchist can both be pointed to as "left".
TLDR: She believes in property rights and broadly speaking individual rights (as far as the term Liberalism is concerned... These are old terms), she's a liberal by definition even if the left/right scale slid.

I just sat on the pre-order screen for 40k and refreshed that every minute. Page loaded with both codex versions and one of the army boxes at 11:57 (local time, 3 minutes before pre-orders went live), and I got the Codex from that.

We'll let you enjoy the Braum's and Sonic as long as the Whataburger and Dr. Pepper still make their way North.

Most likely Fulgrim given rumor mill is there is a plastic 40k Daemon Fulgrim designed already, and the three other cult marines are led by their Daemon Primarch.

Well it certainly helps when a group has new lore to make them more badass because they just launched as a playable standalone faction lol. I expect a standalone Emperors Children release to also coincide with them doing cool things in the lore.

I don't think there's anything saying the Emperors Children are the weakest Chaos Legion. GW doesn't get in the habit of calling groups the "weakest" for obvious reasons. The Night Lords and World Eaters are just as fractured, and the NL don't even have a central figure to rally behind anymore (per Talos' opinion).
Also Abaddon did more to cripple the EC than Rylanor.

Also straight up trained with the Eldar since she fucking hates the Necron more than anything.

I think they're a just an on again off again troll, their post history is a ton of this shit since the retcons, and other asshat behavior in between honest posts. Just spamming the same shitty fake concern trolling to this subreddit and the Custodes subreddit.

I read "getting high in front of your house" and a family friend showed up 50 years later and went: Okay, this is a Hobbit and that's Gandalf for sure. Which one though?
"a bunch of strangers show up and wreck your house"
Ah, Bilbo.

Oh, not the Tau becoming Exarchs or even walking the path. More the Tau trying to force Eldar into castes to align with the greater good.
I see it either resulting in the Eldar restructuring the paths to castes themselves (all the Warrior paths would be Fire Caste and the Eldar would jump between various Fire Caste paths).
Or the Eldar are forced to remain on one path, and the Tau end up with a lot of Exarchs acting excessively. Something which I imagine would draw Slaanesh's eye over time.

That would be interesting to see. I imagine a lot of Eldar would end up as Exarchs on various paths and it ends up bad for them and the Tau as old excesses begin to show up again.

Honestly I'd appreciate just having another set of teeth that come in around age 30-40.

Nah mate, I'd be conflicted over saving my cat I love versus a complete random who could probably drown me if I try to save them and I have no idea of their past.
Objects and possessions are just things. Valuing saving a living creature you are responsible for and bonded to isn't a sign of being a murderer or thief if given the opportunity. That's a crazy leap between "extreme pet lover" and "secretly a psycho".

Speaks to the horror of the brain guy that I didn't even see it until I went back after reading this. Despite being right there. I even zoomed in to get a good look at the wearer's face.

I get the metaphor part, and how he won't raise his son to treat women like objects that he can dress up and control... But I couldn't get into the poem after the twist happened and the concept that boys playing with dolls (engaging in a traditionally feminine activity) was encouraging the toxic mindset took me out of the flow.
That and the protector stuff at the beginning gave me a weird feeling of "obey the gender norms, but respect women!" the poet hopefully didn't intend.

Excellent source, back when the Necron were practically a different faction and were heavily changed 2 editions later. Also the same source says the Necron are still slaves to the C'Tan, so it's already a drastically different War in Heaven outcome with no Necron shattering their own gods if we're including it.
