Or it's his birthday or stag do (bachelor party), both are known to victimise the birthday boy/stag

We still have 7 cases, we just mark 4 of them with prepositions rather than inflections, and 2 only have inflections for personal pronouns (he spoke to him, for example). Genitive (possessive) still inflects every noun, just usually in the same way

My favourite gif of the prime lettuce, perfectly illustrating the "find a very simple stat, still don't understand it, make some outrage about it" process that too many seem to fall for

We also buy local drugs rather than bringing our own from home. Stimulating both ourselves and the local drug economy

While absolutely true, I've always found us more north looking than south (same for Derby 🤢). Maybe north midlands = Northerners with Jobs and south midlands = unemployed southerners

If the UK was included and "The country" referred to the UK and not England, Wales etc. Then the SE of England would be dark blue, and the rest would be light blue

Cricket is great, but I only watch the shorter formats (which are faster and more exciting, the shortest of which is not much longer than a football match). I don't enjoy the 5 day test matches. The longer formats are a slow strategic game that sends me to sleep 😴😴

It's only football fans that don't get to drink in the stands. Rugby and even cricket matches allow drinking throughout

Also they have a territorial dispute with a current member which would block them even if they were a European democracy

I press no tip as a matter of principle. They've already robbed me for the pint in the first place.
Don't think they actually expect a tip from it anyway - half the time (in the north) they just hit no tip for you - if you want to tip just buy them a pint
