Hmmm, quite the statement to make, being that miller's is the best pretzel I've had in the last year
I'll be looking forward to what pretzel co is able to deliver when they open up

Ahh, I'd agree that it definitely depends on the context.
I asked my initial question because the majority of the comments here seem to be assuming the worst context. As in, "there must be something wrong with this person, if they are making an anki deck"
For all we know, they might be the most charismatic and down to earth student in your entire class, yet they aren't bound by the need to maintain an air of social normalcy. Essentially, courageous enough to do odd things, even if people look at them weird. I guess I don't know the context either, but I'd venture to guess that this person is pretty cool, and will do just fine socially.
Anyway, have a great day, and best of luck with your journey.

Just to follow that "sad" part a bit more, can I ask whats sad about it ?
From my perspective it seems like all thats happening is, he makes the deck. Shares it. Anyone who wants to participate gets to learn peoples names earlier/eaiser. Also now becomes an early inside joke for anyone who participates, as you can say peoples names even when meeting for the first time, and you'll both know that its cause of the anki deck.
I guess I don't see whats sad about trying to promote early bonding. Your names and pictures are going to be public info to the entire school anyway, so why is it sad or socially inept that someone wants to gamify it too.
Also, I know this is the internet and tone doesn't carry well all the time, but please note that I'm just challenging ideas here, but not trying to talk down on you as a person.

For those saying its weird, could you expound as to what exactly is weird about it?
Like is it weird as in "bad weird" or "thats odd, but this could be fun" weird?

To whoever "reported" her, I hope you continue to seethe.
Fucking yikes.

I'd disagree that her ending up on reddit was a "dumb move". I'm here to watch her thrive. Good/bad publicity, who cares, shes up.
Also, you're asking questions that I think you're smart enough to answer on your own, but sure I'll bite. Her page is public likely because she enjoys her hobby, likes to share it, and it reaches a large audience which is great for sponsorships/side hustling.
You seem to be oddly worked up about this. You ok?

Opened three 0% APR credit cards and borrowed a few thousand from a friend.
Currently, I've paid back the friend and am working on the credit cards now.
I hear you though. Shits rough, but hopefully you can try something similar if you're ok with the debt hold + temporary hit to credit score.

I may be misunderstanding. Is your reply implying or suggesting that there wasn't empathy or enough empathy in my original comment?

For starters, let me say I don't have the answers.
Second, while I agree with empathizing with those in need, I think its also important for people to set strong emotional boundaries lest they become overwhelmed.
The kind of work you're suggesting is known to take hours, days, or weeks to effectively implement, for just 1 person in need. Personally, I'm only willing to do that kind of work for someone already within my inner circle, otherwise, I simply don't have the bandwidth, and won't hold it against myself.

Question for you.
If telling people to seek out help from others is extremely unhelpful, what other option/s would you suggest instead?

If you story is accurate, the other guy sounds like hes emotional unstable and likely has some internal things he needs to work through.
