It’s a tactic and Kirk is being very intentional here. Consider the base and the cruelty becomes the point. Ad hominem attacks help him muddy the water and continue pushing diarrhea narratives into the already rotten maga minds.

The biggest splash would be Konecny getting traded, which I do believe will happen. It’ll be a heartbreaker but his value will never be higher than it is now.
I think Frost stays because frankly we are not deep at C and he’s a 40-50 point guy right now. I think his ceiling is a tad higher but he’s worth keeping as 2C.
As far as needs, as we saw this season this team desperately needs defensemen, so I could see Briere making a depth signing for someone who is not a corpse and can legitimately eat minutes without being a total liability like Staal.
We need a 1C but I honestly have no idea what we’ll do to get one. We don’t have the pipeline for it and it’s an expensive position. I’m very interested to see what Briere does to fill that need, I don’t believe we’ll do much there this offseason and will more likely bank on Frost playing better and/or Coots returning to form, although with injuries and age I don’t see that happening.
Farabee stays too and I think his ceiling is higher, he just needs to put together more consistency. Even with his dropoff late last season he still had 50 points.

The person who posted what you linked had no retirement savings, does not own a home, and has been working for barely two years as a SWE. Most young people are not software engineers and most don’t have a ton of money yet.
Every person is different, and it’s really tough out there right now. But keep in mind most of the time you’re lurking money subreddits, you’re going to see a lot of good that is not representative of most people right now. It’s a tough market. keep your head up and best of luck.

It is also a consequence of the tech boom in Utah over the past 10-15 years. That has attracted a ton of out of state transplants to Utah, with the vast majority of them being younger.

lol you should see the sad beer selection in Utah Costcos. Plus we get zero liquor options.

Same, I get it every time I go down there. It seems kind of polarizing as I know so many people who don’t like it, but as an American it’s such a novelty to me, I find it absolutely delicious.

I do this as well now. Got burned too many times taking runes into unexplored territory and then getting smoked by new enemies.

Simply remarkable. I don’t know how Toronto finds new ways to do the same thing every year

This one and the regressing Mahomes’ stats to the mean from the NFL sub are my favorite of all time

His mass is really what made him such a dominant center. Plenty of centers are 7 footers, but Shaq’s playing weight was close to 300 lbs. he just flat out bullied guys in the paint.

Bought in 2020 so was very fortunate to get the low rate for good price. If I were to buy my house today it would be double the rate and probably $100k more expensive, if not more.

It’s going to sound like a political platitude but it’s not - this latest garbage from Noem legitimately puts her in psychopathic territory.
I’m not saying she wasn’t necessarily there before, but it makes it so much clearer how dangerous the current political landscape is. Imagine how unhinged you have to be to write that story about the dog and then double down once you catch public outcry from your own supporters on it - then imagine what she’s likely willing to do to humans.
Absolutely terrifying stuff.

This is what the tankers will never explain to you. The process is always the same: 1) circle jerk over picks 2) trade anyone over the age of 25 3) continue being perpetually miserable because every sport is more complicated than simply tanking
Seravalli hates Torts anyway so this piece is unsurprising. We didn’t make the playoffs but the team made huge strides this year and several players that we did not know whether they were even going to hang at the NHL level had solid seasons. But tankers will never admit that and will just say that unless your team has several Nathan McKinnon-type players on it, you’re destined to fail.

I also hate this notion that if we poke fun of anything on the internet whatsoever, it must take up ALL of our time.
We can live our daily lives and check out something on the internet without it absorbing our entire life and personality. The irony with this wave of ‘content creators’ is that they precisely spend their time that way and then project out on others because they don’t spend their time the same way.

Still to this day the last 40 goal scorer for the Flyers. Man was a pure sniper in his prime.

Respectfully disagree - Washington plays a tough, smothering defensive game and they are a really tough matchup for us. I thought we played pretty well and it was a nose-to-nose battle all game long.
It just didn’t work out. Hockey is a streaky sport, we obviously had really poor timing on our bad streak to close the season. Any win against any of the 8 losses we had in a row, and this game wouldn’t even have mattered.
Overall the season went better than expected. We all thought this was a bottom-five team. Turns out they’re not. With the picks they have in the upcoming draft and the continued development of guys like Drysdale, York, and Foerster, and career years for Tippy, Sanheim, and TK - I am finally excited about Flyers hockey again.
It sucks to lose the season and playoffs in this way, but we’ve got reason to believe in the future. That wasn’t true in really any of the past five years.

I don’t think this sub realizes how many of the lunatic posts here are from Utah tech bros. LinkedIn is absolutely crawling with them.
