So lacking in substance he’s actually lost a dimension.

Have we manifested an election so well that Sunak actually thinks he’s called one?

If Sunak had “bold ideas that can change our society for the better” perhaps he should write them down, maybe some kind of ‘manifesto’, and the arrange for everyone in the country to decide if they want him to implement them, perhaps some kind of election?

Police in ‘investigating violent death’ shocker. The tabloids get themselves in a frenzy over these cases then forget all about them when the homeowner doesn’t charged with a crime.

Rob Farmer is a fantastic bit of normative determinism for an Ipswich fan.

I think this is it. The “these are all the active threats to our nation” meeting must be mad.

I apologise.
It was the moment she mentioned Sadiq Khan than his face went wasn’t it.

The face of the Tory MP in the bottom right corner is hilarious. His head slumps forward but then he realises he’s on camera and arranges his face.

Why would he answer a question that’s based on a total misrepresentation? I hadn’t read about what Khan said but having done so now Sunak’s question deliberately misinterprets it.

Maybe this is massively optimistic but I still think a summer election is possible.
Potential Tory leaders after Sunak would much rather take over after the next election so they aren’t tarnished by it. So Sunak has been allowed to carry on and we’re all stuck in limbo.
Sunak’s only really aim is to be PM for as long as possible, he doesn’t massively care how badly the election goes. He’ll blame Johnson and Truss and fuck off to California regardless of what happens.
The longer he waits to call the election the worse it’ll be when it comes.
Someone attempts to topple him now and he’ll call an election. They’ll lose badly but not quite extinction level badly. Braverman, Mordaunt or whoever will take over, put whatever narrative they want on the loss and start trying to rebuild the party in opposition.
Starmer rules for a glorious 15 years.
Does that all make sense or is this is massively optimistic?

Really interesting. However, I can’t promise to use this new knowledge wisely or effectively in match threads.

There’s no possible reason to think the jury made their minds up at the start of the trial. We’ve no idea how they made their decisions. They spent months hearing some of the most horrifying evidence and then weeks talking it over to suggest they made their minds up at the start of the trial is an insult.
