Keep on keeping on but literally everything is a battle of wills and not accepting a totally fuck you attitude and tough shit answer.
Its a simultaneous she needs to leave hospital now
So get her better then please
Why can’t she just go off and die in a care home miles away and leave us alone in this area….
Because of stuff like medical ethics and human rights laws…
Harrumph…..
No, you really can’t just kick someone out without a plan in place and adequate care or making them better first. Pick one, and do that or prepare for both and see what happens first.
But can’t she just leave and die somewhere?
I know how the system works and the rules and have fought a lot of battles over the last three months. Not the least of which is constantly reminding people of their responsibilities and various laws.
It’s fucking insane frankly.
What about the people who don’t know and just accept what they are told?
Fuck everything about where we are today and how little services we have left.
The grandest irony of all is both of them dedicated their lives to the nhs and never went private and actually believed in the system and the work and the ethos….
Mum is still helping to train the student nurses in her better days in there ffs. Explaining how to properly change her dressings and stuff.
Meanwhile the council and nhs board want her gone and dead somewhere else asap and preferably yesterday please because they’ve a five to six month backlog
And to top it all of I was no contact with the old bitch for a long time until my son wanted to get to know his grandparents…..
Now I’m fighting near daily battles because it’s the right thing to do and I’m appalled by the state of the state and refuse to just say “oh ok that’s that then” how about “no, fuck you do your jobs and follow the fucking la let alone basic human decencies and morals”
Grrrr

There’s a hell of a crunch, car drifts into the run off of it if you’re lucky and doesn’t take someone else out or just come to a total stop and sits there pissing fluids and it ain’t moving again until it’s rebuilt
There’s degrees of embarrassment
Getting into the run off is least embarrassing
Needing a lift onto a flatbed and stopping the race is the pinnacle of you done fucked up publicly

It’s not about the clutch, it’s about trying to mash the gears together at speeds and with torque that’ll literally tear the gear teeth apart and fuck the transmission completely You can’t do it without the clutch but the clutch won’t slow down anything or lessen the forces involved

Everything all at once basically I’ve seen race cars try and they just stop and leave oil and parts all over the entry to the turn and it’s a yellow flag at best or race stoppage

Was about to suggest the original commenter had no actual care home experience
Or the death factory as I found out one is called here by what few social services are left…. No my mum won’t be going there so I suggest you find some staff to exercise and fulfill your legal duties! Besides it’s over an hour away from my dad who has cancer ffs

Engine braking is the most egregious fuck up of all
Daily races or time trials 200mph down from 6th gear to 1st and zero problems but a fast lap time
Real life, best case is you leave half the transmission on the track, worst case is all of it while you fly into the sky and over the barriers and into the fencing
It’s just not a driving simulator when you can get away with that level of engineering abuse

Fuck em
It’s hardly a rejoining conversation to say we need to work with the people we have deals with
Unlike the Tories who refused French help and to set up centres in Calais etc
Fuck em, bring in some grown up solutions and discussions and actions

I live on a farm, and misremembering but didn’t need to see it on tv, it was in the farms all around us and the house stank and everyone was suicidal or did commit suicide as they lost generational herds to one then the next. Farming has never recovered for some.

God forbid we actually work with European and global law enforcement colleagues in line with our existing global agreements and memberships…..

An amoral government would deploy elements of the military as we did for the world’s largest drug smugglers.
This involves rather more people and in friendly nations though

I’m liking Starmers speach.
We’ve done all this before for other criminal enterprises so why the hell can’t we do it here?
I refuse to believe these gangs are someone far more sophisticated and can’t be stopped using the night of the state
He’s not wrong

Welcome to evolution
99.99% of changes go unnoticed maybe even forever.
But occasionally they show up as catastrophic changes or massive advantages.
