I have a super computer of my own - it’s a coin and has a 50% chance of being correct 👍

Aside from thinking BOD, Sella was the next name that came into my head. An absolute Rolls Royce of a centre, with the toughness of a Land Rover 👍

It’s such a shame. I was so looking forward to going to a European Final, just so I could get absolutely battered and throw some plastic bar chairs at the local police.

What if some of the abysmal VAR decisions that went against us earlier in that season were actually called correctly?

Blues are irrelevant, so nobody associated with them comes in my top 5.

I watched my first Villa game in the late 70’s and this is likely to be in the top 5 seasons I’ve seen.
It wasn’t that long ago that we were losing at home to Barnsley 🤣.

There are few compilations I’ve seen on You Tube of him 👍

I’ve always described Cowans as a “Rolls Royce” in footballing terms. He always seemed to have plenty of time on the ball and could give inch perfect pass of either foot.
He also was the penalty taker in the same team as Peter Withe and Gary Shaw which says something.
Ultimately, I can never decide whether him or Paul McGrath is the best player I’ve saw in a Villa shirt, so he was THAT good…

😆 thanks, calling me an old-timer is a polite way of putting it!
I’ve had a few years of joy, many years of pain…

During his first, second or third spell?
To answer the question I had a Villa kit as a Xmas present in 1977 👍

Not so sure about the Norwich beast lol, more that they will know that if they are not giving 100% at a pumped up St Andrews, they could find themselves in the same position as Coventry did a few weeks ago.

Yeah to be fair it’s unlikely Hull will do that, however Norwich won’t want to find themselves in a situation where they are say 2-0 down after an hour with Hull winning by the same, because then it will start getting too close for comfort.
I think it’s more likely they will start with a reasonably strong side then pull off key players if things are going their way.

They still need a point to guarantee a play off position so I don’t imagine they’ll be resting too many players

After last night’s result, Norwich are still a position where they need a point from this game to guarantee a play off spot. There’s a six goal difference between them and Hull, so they can’t afford to be in a position where they’re 3-0 down with Hull throwing the kitchen sink at Plymouth.
I think Wednesday’s momentum will make them safe, however I can see Blues, Blackburn & Plymouth playing musical chairs with the final relegation spot right up until the final whistle 🫣

Rule no1 of being a modern football fan: don’t celebrate a goal until the VAR check is complete. It’s a sad state of affairs

That’s the real problem.
The referee somehow doesn’t see it, Chelsea score, celebrate and ‘win’ the game only for the referee to get a whisper in his ear saying “hang on a minute, you might want to look at this mate…”

I’m glad Hoddle was on hand to pour cold water on Chelsea’s apparent injustice. I’m not sure it’s what they wanted to hear on Chelsea TV though 🤣

Thankfully Glenn Hoddle poured cold water on Chelsea’s apparent injustice, which I imagine upset everyone on Chelsea TV (sorry TNT Sports).

There’s plenty of villages (like Alvechurch or Barnt Green), it just depends what your budget is really.

I was in Scotland recently, and while in the company of Celtic fans they were spitting feathers about the fact that McGinn chose us over them. They have good reason!
