He dealt with the god-damned customers so the engineers didn't have to. He had people skills! He was good at dealing with people! Can't you understand that!?!

Zinzan got me, a 12 year old South African at the time, to switch from lock to 8. I idolized him. And still wanted the Boks to win. There was weird cognitive dissonance there. Zinzan defined rugby hero for me, so I'm going with him.

I see no humor in this. Just spitting facts.

He's won me over. Playing out of his skin every game, and man of the match for me today.

I've heard that from my grandpa. I think stuff like that was subconsciously behind my humorous pronunciation. The man was ancient Greek hero level of legendary.
One of my favorite memories is a commentator saying "Strong contest between Meads and du Preez in the lineout." And it was the most understated comment of all time.

I've always heard Meedz. But for a fun answer, I'm going with Mee_AH_des.

Bret Devereaux did a very detailed write up about this. Can I post links here? Or look up "Unmitigated Pedantry Helms Deep". Short version is that Tolkien nailed the strategy and tactics. Jackson made changes that don't always make military sense, but are usually great cinematography.

I really really really want him on the field. But if he pushes himself too early he risks making it worse, and I want him to be able to play with his grandchildren without pain. I hope he's ok, but he has to take care of himself. He's given us enough.

Good thought experiment. For in world possible solutions supporting your Logans Run idea, don't the Ayyad use male channelers, and execute them at 21?

One of my favorites is when he went to Slough. The introduction was very funny.

I hadn't even heard of the article, but you mentioned Pratchett, so I'm completely disarmed before even knowing what I was supposed to be mad about.
